So yesterday morning we walked over to Pengelly's Fish Shop and got some wonderful catches for dinner. We then went next door to Quayside Fresh to get all the veggies and some GORGEOUS potatoes gratins.
After a busy day Christmas shopping in Plymouth we popped into the The Jolly Sailor Inn - Looe and then back home to Waters Edge for our feast of mussels, Gurnard, the sweetest scallops we've ever had and potato gratin. It was truly spectacular 😍🐟

It's been a busy fishing day and it's going to be a busy fishing night. If I hear the boats in the night I feel compelled to get up from bed and watch them, no matter the time. It's so beautiful and the very ❤️ of Looe. Just look at them all lined up, working so hard and keeping our Community alive. We love and thank our fishermen and women.

Occasionally the lovely cast of Beyond Paradise locate themselves at Waters Edge during filming for costume changes, rehearsals and generally passing the time. Often the crew used the decking fitter props and filming gear. It's all great fun and we're so pleased we can make their long days a little more comfortable in the English weather! 🎬📽️🎞️🎥

It's been a whirlwind of a year and after months of back to back bookings, we're so happy to have some time to enjoy Waters Edge for ourselves. Nothing resets us like Looe and boy, did we need it. The way stresses melt away and connections are refreshed here just feels like magic. 6am brew watching the boats, the imperative pub crawl including Harbour Moon and our local The Jolly Sailor Inn - Looe, rugby with a home-cooked meal, coffees from the INCREDIBLE , dinner out tonight at the Salutation Inn Looe . We ❤️you Looe. Thank you for nourishing our souls.

We do the hard research so you don't have to 😋 Most recently we did a few 'firsts' in Looe so we could report back for our followers... You're welcome 😜😜😜
*LOOE GIN distillery. Honest to goodness this gin is INCREDIBLE and comes in so many variations. A new must as far as we're concerned!
* Ocean Earth thai restaurants. We LOVED the character and buzz here. Decor and food totally authentic and delicious. Service was brilliant and the Thai wine!!! Gorgeous!
*Boat trip to Looe island with a local boat man and we found a little friend 🦭

Working from 'home' was a total joy today. I treated myself to our specially homemade Cornish chocolate on my tea break 😋😋. And, of course, you know what they say about all work and no play.... So once work was done it was off to the Jolly Sailor for a pint (or two) with my lovely dad. Just time for a sneaky night cap on the deck before I fall into the duckdown duvet and snore my head off. A perfect day.

I love moments like these and there are so many of them in Looe. Beautiful moments just floating around, ready to be lived in. Passing the Jolly on thusday (Shanty night) 😍. Looe, there's nowhere on earth like you.

2025 SCHOOL HOLIDAY DATES - LIMITED AVAILABILITY. Please get in touch if you've been thinking of booking any of the below dates to avoid disappointment! Remaining 2025 school holiday dates are: *February half term (14th - 21st) *1st week of Easter holidays (4th - 11th April) *3 x weeks in summer holidays (July 25th-Aug 1st, Aug 1st - Aug 8th, Aug 23rd - Sep 5th) *October half term (25th Oct - 2nd Nov)

All in the name of research 😉 Waters-Edge and #cornishholidaylets spent Friday night exploring some new editions to the town. Starting with a G&T on the deck, we made it just yards before falling into the jolly for a pre-dinner pint. From there we wandered over to JuJu's restaurant to try out their tapas. We were extremely impressed with the food and the staff treated us like old friends. Highly recommended. From there we were too full to walk and so had to break our journey at 'Ye Olde Grog & Ale House' for a real ale. Great new additions to Looe! We finished off with one last stop at the music festival just a few meters down from Waters Edge. What a great night!

Wow! 300! And to celebrate our 300 followers we're giving a Cornish produce hamper 🧺 to the next guest who books a weeks stay (or more).
