Early this morning, before the hustle and bustle took over the town, on my way down Lower Wood Road towards Dinham Bridge I noticed from an angle not often seen or captured but it’s worth taking a wander out to this spot to see it for yourself… 🏰

In a change to the norm on our feed.. not the most aesthetically pleasing photo but instead, a display of ‘that makes sense’ functionality at Aragon Cottage…

The cottage is years old and typical of its history within the town, therefore it has relatively steep stairs… but there’s nothing Chris can’t sort out! He purchased this beautiful thick and sturdy hand rope and fitted it all the way to the top floor to ensure our guests safety and comfort.

We also love having younger guests, and guests of the four legged furry variety, so Chris also installed this sturdy wooden stair gate for when it’s required.

And finally, the smart TV is fitted to a little alcove in the lounge so it can tuck away when you’re not using it to allow for as much space as possible, but to still give you that home from home comfort!

A lot of thought goes into providing the best experience we can for our guests ❤️

History pours from every corner in Ludlow, and there are so many lovely, tiny back streets and alleyways, just like ours at Hideaway Cottage that have stood the test of time!

It might not be a large garden, but sometimes a sweet little bistro set in a cool and shady spot like this is all you need!

A lovely spot down at Dinham Bridge weir and the Millennium Green, the perfect place to spend an hour with a coffee or icecream from 🍦

, the 11th century ‘Cathedral of the Marches’ is just a 10 minute walk from both Aragon Cottage & Hideaway Cottage and one of only 18 churches given a 5 star rating in Englands Thousand Greatest Churches (by Simon Jenkins) ✨

⛪️ You can see the imposing church tower from every corner of town and its well worth visit on a trip to Ludlow, you can walk up the 201 steps to the top of the tower for an impressive view of Ludlow and the Shropshire countryside in the distance, then stop for a coffee & cake at the lovely and a pick up something to remember your visit from once you’ve made your way back down!

Spending a quiet moment by the River Teme 🍃🦦

This tranquil spot is under Dinham Bridge, a picturesque riverside location next to cafe and the Millennium Green, a lovely stroll from the market square either around the castle walls or along the desirable Dinham road.

Cross over the bridge and a left turn will take you along the river path back to town… 🍃
