POOR SCOUT DESPERATELY NEEDS A FOSTER HOME 🚨🌙💔🌙🚨

Scout’s owner has recently passed away, and he is simply not coping when he is on his own 💔💔💔 he is massively panicking when we leave at night, which is leading to him causing a lot of damage to his kennel in his panic to escape (he has chewed a hole in a breeze block wall and a painted thick wooden support 😰) - and obviously in turn, damage to himself as he has swallowed some of the rubble 😰 We have to leave his kennel hatch open as he panics even more when shut inside and , but either way, we have no way to keep Scout totally ‘safe’ from harm as we cannot stop him chewing the structure of his kennel 💔😰 (please note: he ONLY chews the things that are at his exit points in his panic - he is not a ‘destructive’ dog generally) ❤️

During the day when he knows people are around, he is THE calmest dog you could meet - he is gentle, very laid back, quiet and will just curl up and sleep (no doubt he’s exhausted 💔), but he just cannot cope at night on his own 💔🌙💔

Scout is a 7 yr old Lurcher who walks beautifully on lead, has shown no issues around other dogs at all 🐾 He is a real gentleman who just needs to find somewhere where he will not be left alone, at least until he’s settled and has started to recover from his ordeal (but please be aware that he may never be fully comfortable being left alone) ❤️🌙

As he is so settled in his kennel during the day, if needed, he would be fine to come to us during the day if we could even just find a foster home who could have him in the evening/overnight as a short term solution to keep him safe 🌙🎑❤️

It has been a real blast from the past watching the Princess Bride again after such a long time. Some recent visitors from the USA, were staying here because of its location and the film. When I mentioned I had been involved (I’m Jeremy, Hello!) they were speechless ♥️

When we were filming (I’m a professional horse rider and trainer) it was completed out of sequence a lot of the time but as riders we rode many horses in different costumes but this.. is me doing Inigo Montoya in a Cher wig (that I still have). Happy days if you would like to know more please feel free to ask 👍🏻

Did you know that Peveril Castle in Castleton was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 and is one of England’s earliest Norman fortresses?

Today all that still stands of Peveril Castle is part of the gatehouse, the perimeter walls and the remains of the keep, although the latter is relatively well preserved and many of the original gritstone blocks are still evident.

The zig-zag walk up the hill is challenging but there are plentiful benches to rest on, and the views across the valley to Mam Tor, Back Tor, Lose Hill and Win Hill are breathtaking.

The Long Gallery provided women in the Elizabethan era with a place to exercise, walking up and down this magnificent room with beautiful views of the garden.
