A couple more pics from the last two days when we have had rain storms but good birds including the sixth Cyprus Bar-tailed Lark, two Spotted Crake, a Rufous-tailed Rock Thrush, three Greater Sand Plover, two Audouin's Gull, a Caspian Tern and a Barred Warbler - Jane Stylianou

News from our tour in Cyprus where Jane Stylianou reports

'So far we have had great views of Cyprus Warbler and Cyprus Wheatear as well as Cretzschmar's and Ortolan Buntings, Woodchat and Masked Shrike, Little Crake, Ruppell's and Eastern Bonelli's Warbler, the Cyprus endemic sub species, Long-legged Buzzard, Bonelli's Eagle, Black Francolin and Pallid Swift.'

Sounds like its going very nicely!

Our group in France have been enjoying some great birds in the spectacular landscape of Corsica. Amongst the highlights have been Corsican Nuthatch, Corsican Citril Finch, singing Marmora's Warbler, two fantastic Lammergeiers and three Golden Eagles. Many thanks to Gill Michaels for allowing us to post her Corsican Nuthatch pic here.

An excellent start to the trip for our group in Southern France with Spotted Eagle, Alpine Accentor, Wallcreeper and a flock of 42 Little Bustards amongst the highlights of the first two days. 😀😀

Our tour in Yorkshire is still enjoying some truly amazing birding. Pallas's Warbler and Red-breasted Flycatcher showing nicely today with a supporting cast in the past couple of days that now includes Arctic Warbler, Great Grey Shrike, Jack Snipe and large numbers of common migrants such as Robins, Goldcrests, Song Thrushes and Redwings. Utterly mind-blowing!

Our Yorkshire tour got off to a flying start with this Eastern Crowned Warbler in the first hour this morning. With a supporting cast (!) of Yellow-browed Warbler and Bluethroat group members could have been forgiven for thinking we'd taken a wrong turning and ended up in eastern Asia! But, no this was all at Bempton Cliffs RSPB. With continuing easterly winds we wonder what tomorrow will bring...

Chris is currently with a group in Cape Cod, USA. An excellent whale watching trip out of Provincetown produced sightings of 16-18 Fin Whales, 12 Humpback Whales & 4 Minke Whales. Repeated breaching by one of the Humpbacks was most memorable. Seabirds included Great, Sooty, Cory's & Manx Shearwaters and good nos of Wilson's Petrels. Nearby a White-breasted Nuthatch was pretty showy, so all in all A cracking day!
