Goldfish update.

Sorry I forget just who it was now but one of you won a goldfish at Mablethorpe during the summer and couldn’t take it home,
Well here it is still going strong in our pond and easily twice the size it was so its doing well.

As some of you are now aware we have placed our bungalow and the cottages on the market.

We love living here but it as come too the time in our lives we need to move on slow down and relax.

We would like to assure everyone who as a upcoming booking (including our longer term winter guests) you booking is safe either with us or the new owners, we will be writing into any contract that these must be honoured with no price changes.

Traffic?

It’s August its a little busy on the roads too the coast, for those that travel via Lincoln & Wragby we find its best to take the A153 from Wragby (1st exit on the mini roundabout) instead of the 158, follow it too Louth then A16 towards Skeg, take first exit on Ulcby cross roundabout onto 1104 and come to us via Alford, its 3/4 miles further but avoids the 158 from Wragby to here, its always our chosen route this time of year.

Remember guys, the water may seem inviting but inflatables here always go one way, out.

This morning at 8am we filmed a controlled and safe reenactment of an inflatable drifting out to sea in an offshore wind. 💨

We launched our D class lifeboat and a lifeguard on a rescue board to simulate the rescue process.

We have filmed this process and will publish a video soon about the dangers of inflatables in the sea 🌊

We are aware that you can bring inflatables such as dinghies, rings and unicorns with you on holiday, or purchase these locally. For your safety, please only use these in swimming pools.

We hope this controlled exercise and film will help showcase how quickly an inflatable can drift offshore and reduce the use of them on our beaches 🏖
