Dog friendly stays at our Lapwing Shepherd Hut. Enjoy the beautiful views, with plenty of walks and wildlife on your doorstep.

The hut is super luxurious and is made for the perfect glamping getaway. Decorated beautifully, it offers hand-stitched quilts, bathroom with shower, heated floor and the comfiest king-size bed!

Lapwing has its own outdoor firepit with wooden armchairs and sheepswool rugs. After a long day, relax and sink into comfort as you gaze at the stars with a glass of wine in hand, accompanied only by the soothing crackle of the fire.

Pups can enjoy complimentary biscuits, and the hut is equipped with a dog bowl and poo bags for your convenience!

Our Ranger, Julia, has an action-packed programme during the school holidays. From rock painting and making your own bird feeder, to learning about bugs and essential survival skills, learn some new skills this summer.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

We are very excited to show you Tulliemet house in its new ochre outfit.
The research into painting Tulliemet was led by a few black and white photos - but we had no evidence of what colour it had been.
We started exploring around the parapets in the back courtyard where we found some small remaining fragments of a strong yellow colour.
Historically, the yellow colour was created by mixing a yellow iron oxide with limewash.
Local precedence can be seen on a distinctive yellow house near the Telford bridge in Dunkeld. And, of course the wonderful Bonnington House .
It looks wonderful and sings across Tulliemet valley in its new colour. We are looking forward to seeing it in Autumn, surrounded by the turning yellow and red leaves.

Blair Castle & Gardens is officially open for the 2024 season.

After a busy winter of cleaning, restoration, planning & recruiting, we're delighted to re-open our doors this morning to welcome the first guests.

Clachan is the collective name for the farm buildings that make up Clachan Farmhouse, Annex and Clachan Cottage. They lie on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park near the hamlet of Struan and make for a great launchpad for local walks and explorations. Celebrate Burns Night in a traditional Highland cottage. In celebration of the life and poetry of Scottish poet, Robert Burns, Burns Suppers are normally held on the 25th of January. World's oldest whisky found in Blair Castle.

We're delighted to reveal that the world's oldest whisky has been discovered behind a hidden cellar door within the castle. The whisky is believed to have been distilled almost 200 years ago and sipped by a young Queen Victoria.
