๐Ÿ“˜ || PITLOCHRY THE PLACE & ITS PEOPLE || ๐Ÿ“˜

At some time, most people get involved in discussions on who lived where and when, and what business occupied certain premises before they changed and who worked there. So, to save many a wee debate and to save any arguments, we thought it would be great to capture Pitlochry at a point in time. This limited first edition book will be a permanent record of our wee town and its people today.

Who knows 25 years from now, those debates can be settled once and for all.

This book will serve as a way to highlight all our local businesses, tradespeople, community groups, service industry and well known faces. It will be a unique timestamp of the town and will serve as an historic record of what kind of community existed here during 2024 and at the start of 2025. It will be hard backed and full of lovely glossy photographs.

The second purpose of this book is to raise funds for local groups and clubs that work tirelessly to enhance our beautiful town all year round and make it the special place that it is. The proceeds from the book will be shared with our local groups to keep Pitlochry alive and special.

๐Ÿ“˜ A standard entry will include:
๐Ÿ”น a photograph of your business
๐Ÿ”น 50 word history,
๐Ÿ”น contact information and list of people in your photograph.
๐Ÿ”น The price of inclusion is ยฃ99 for businesses.
๐Ÿ”น Remember surplus monies from the book go back to the town.

The book once finished will then be sold to locals, tourists, visitors and hotels etc to raise funds for the town.

๐Ÿ”นAll local groups such as scouts, brownies, guides, youth football teams, Pitlochry in Bloom etc will be included at no charge. We have a great number of groups included in Pitlochry Life Magazine regularly for free - but if you are a group unknown to us, please do get in touch!

Pitlochry deserves a great edition of its own and we can showcase the town for generations to come.

The book is for everyone and every business in Pitlochry - so please get in touch. It wonโ€™t be complete without you all! To reach everyone is a huge task and whilst we will endeavour to make contact, if you can help us get this off the ground by contacting us first - we would really appreciate it.

๐Ÿ“– To take part in the book please contact Debbie or Willie at
๐Ÿ”น[email protected]
๐Ÿ”นor call 07545299491.

Here is a link to the video of an example of this type of book www.facebook.com/reel/1142918497146263

โ—๏ธDeadline for inclusion will be Friday June 21st โ—๏ธ

Get in touch now to secure your spot. This is a once in a generation opportunity - there won't be a second edition - so donโ€™t miss out!!

Guess who is back!!?

We think LM12 was waiting for that 'will he - won't he?' post before making a grand arrival this afternoon!

We are delighted to welcome back Lowes resident breeding male LM12 to the reserve for his 13th breeding season. He touched down at 16:38 under some intense pressure from a flock of gulls, but quickly started to look at home and began shuffling sticks around on the nest.

It wasn't long before his mate NC0 returned, and after a short period of coy mantling (a behaviour ospreys display to show they are not a threat to each other), he wasted no time with getting down to business with a quick spot of mating. No doubt a fish supper will seal the deal.

May the 2024 season commence! ๐Ÿฆ…๐Ÿฆ…
