We know lots of peoples will probably come straight from work, so we asked the nice people at Malcolm Barnecutt's Bakeries Ltd if the could help us out with some pasties. The early bird get the worm. Come and tell us what you knew, and whether you support, or are concerned about the permitted license for a seaweed farm in Port Isaac Bay.

The remarkable thing about the North Cornish coast - where Doc Martin, bottom right, was filmed - is how most of it remains unspoiled, writes Robert Hardman. That, though, could be about to change.

Wally the Walrus spotted in Cornwall! 😮

Yesterday afternoon photographer Nathaniel Barry and Padstow Sealife Safaris' passengers and crew were astounded to see the large arctic Walrus off the coast of North Cornwall. It’s thought to be the first recorded visit to the region by the mammal in history!

Wally has previously been spotted in Ireland and, more recently, has spent a few weeks in Wales. It has been hoped that as the water temperatures increase, the walrus would back its way back up north to cold water and closer to home, but he seems to be doing the opposite.

As with lots of our marine mammals, disturbance can cause huge amounts of distress and affect behaviours including resting and feeding. ⚠️ Do let us know if you see Wally but please be respectful and keep your distance.
