What a start to 2024! Rain and more rain, however, the weather is improving now and we are all ready for the holiday season. Bookings for 2023 are ramping up and we are looking forward to hosting new and returning guests this year. Rates for 2023 have been held to the same as last year. Our 1 bedroom Barn is between £70 & £90 per night and The Chicken Shed’s rates (2 bedroom) are between £140 and £180 per night. Prices are based on the season and a 3 night minimum stay. Both our properties have double beds in each room. Bookings can be made via Airbnb or contact us directly and get preferential payment terms. We look forward to giving you a warm welcome and a home from home in the heart of the Cornish countryside.

Well into the holiday season now and we have had some great guests in The Chicken Shed (Sleeps 4) and some wonderful comments. We were due to have the Solar Panels fitted at the end of August, but our supplier is rescheduling for September now, so unexpectedly the end of August is free for booking from the night of 20 August 2022 to the night of 27 August 2022. Minimum booking 3 nights at £180.00 per night by booking direct. We are also dog friendly......

We are having a test drive of ’The Chicken Shed”tonight, to make sure we have everything for our guests and to ensure everything works. It is going well! Morgan is certainly enjoying the view over ‘his’ field and I think he is wondering why his bed is here. Also, the new business cards arrived recently.

If anyone wishes to have a stay, we are doing Friday and Monday check-in and check out with a minimum of 3 nights, all on a per night rate. We also have a flexible cancellation policy which we think is essential in today’s market. Contact us if you wish to book direct, but happy to go through Airbnb if guests are more comfortable with that.

Everything seems cool so far, apart from the hot water which is piping hot, thanks Air Source Heat Pump! We do however, have some minor items to sort out!

We have decided to list The Chicken Shed on Airbnb next weekend. We will be listing it for 7 night stays from 15 July 2022 with a Friday change over. If we can bring that date further forward then we will open up the dates as we progress to completion.

Anyone following the Rossland site who wishes to book dates in 2022 from 15 July, then come directly to us from today to secure your stay. We operate a flexible cancellation policy, although we do ask for payment 2 weeks prior to your stay, so that we can re-list the dates if no payment is received.

The Chicken Shed has two bedrooms with king size double beds and en-suite shower room to each room. The main living area is open plan with a fully fitted kitchen including dish washer, dining area and lounge with a wood burning stove. It is fitted out in a Nordic style and has an Air Source Heat Pump for water and underfloor heating. There are extensive views over mid-Cornwall and Bodmin Moor from both bedrooms and the main living area. Dogs are welcome, and you are welcome to use the grounds here.

The prices for a week’s stay (Friday to Friday) booking direct with us for the Chicken Shed are as follows:

15 July 2022 to 2 Sept.2022 - £1,260.00
2 Sept. 2022 to 30 Sept. 2022 - £1,120.00
30 Sept. 2022 to 23 Dec. 2022 - £1,050.00
23 Dec. 2022 to 6 Jan. 2023 - £1,260.00
