Its that time of year again - Saturday April 6th is the annual Sheringham Scira Viking Festival and Parade is a great day of family fun which happens annually throughout the town and onto the beach in Sheringham. Some of the events that you can experience on the day include:

Re-enactments of Viking battles;
Viking battle on the Leas;
Torchlight parade;
Viking Boat Burning;
Viking displays and workshops;
Shield Painting and Sword Making;
Crafts, face painting
and many more events and activities

Nice to see the visiting locomotive D9537 'Eric' in Sheringham today! Eric was built in 1965 at Swindon Works and was hauling some 1950s suburban carriages!

Great to catch the flying Scotsman in Lichfield on its way to Chester this morning - it's celebrating 100 years of service this year. How great would it be to come to Sheringham!

Lovely to see the GER no. 564 in Sheringham. The locomotive left Stratford Works on 22 February 1912 and has spent most of its working life in Norfolk and Suffolk.

Nice to see the Class 37 D6732 at Sheringham North Norfolk railway today! Built in 1962 the Class was ordered as part of the British Rail modernisation plan.
