BIG SHOUT-OUT TO ROUGH PARK VOLUNTEERS! 👏

One of our local nature reserves is set to blossom thanks to volunteers who’ve stepped in to plant over 2,500 native species of woodland bulbs this week. 🌻

Up to 40 helpers took part in the planting at Rough Park, co-ordinated by our Environment Community Liaison Officer Rick Shaw and TreeMan TreeSpecialist - one of the most experienced tree and conservation experts in Shropshire.

Volunteers included members of the newly formed ‘Friends of Rough Park’ group, local residents, Telford & Wrekin Council staff and Capgemini employees who took part in two separate planting sessions.

Native bluebell and snowdrops bulbs were planted while other areas of the park were prepared for other woodland flower planting and regeneration.

We’d like to say a big thanks to all the volunteers who took part. 👏 👏
