Osprey Hideaways is a family run business set in a truly stunning rural, yet central, Stirlingshire location. There are five luxury 1 and 2 bedroom courtyard cottages with incredible views across North Third Reservoir. Each cottage is named after birds we regularly see here - osprey, peregrine, kestrel, buzzard and barn owl. We are perfectly located in the countyside where you can enjoy the peace

and quiet, long walks straight from your front door or even casting a line in our private reservoir. The cottages are beautifully furnished with cosy lounges, king-sized beds, luxury linen and bathrobes, power showers and/or baths, flat screen TV, blu-ray players, free DVD library - infact everything you need for a truly relaxing holiday. The central heating is gas fired and all heating and electricity costs are included in the rental. You can enjoy the best of both worlds; the peace and quiet of the countryside or the hustle and bustle of the city as we are ideally situated with easy access to Stirling, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth. Although the setting is very peaceful and rural we are only 5 miles from the motorway junction. Better still, we are only 4.5 miles from Stirling and its great choice of restaurants, pubs, shops, cinema, theatre and arguably the best castle in Scotland. Stirling really is a fantastic centre with something for all tastes. Best of all, nearly everything is open all year round and if you want to see the "big city lights" then Edinburgh and Glasgow are surprisingly quick and easy to get to for the day. All this means that Osprey Hideaways is the perfect destination, no matter which month of the year you want to come. We love where we live and look forward to sharing it with you. He was out with his dog walker today in the North Third area and ran off after being spooked.

His owners are out searching the area just now.

Little feral black kitten aka Muppet has made herself very much at home at Osprey Hideaways, she has made a full recovery from being neutered helped by AnimalTails and Cats Protection. She has even found her purr 🥰🥰🥰

Great day out in Edinburg

Hi, so the story of the black kitten continues!

Dumped at Osprey Hideaways in the middle of winter we fed her and her mum. Sadly mum is no longer here but we kept feeding the kitten. 3 months later we have a very happy, healthy feral black cat.

Thanks to Cats Protection she has now been neutered and ear tipped by AnimalTails our local vets who were fantastic.

We are happy to give her a forever home should she chose to stay here. For guests don’t be surprised by a very wary cat - it’s nothing personal! There’s always a warm welcome to everyone staying at Osprey Hideaways.

Scottish Water are currently doing upgrade work to the spillway at the end of North Third. They have maintained the access and it is still possible to walk to the Craig’s. Guests can also still use the stairway to heaven if they choose 100 steps to get the heart rate up!
