I am getting my art gear ready to travel tomorrow to the beautiful and wonderful Paradīzes Dārzs in Latvia. Where I will be giving watercolour painting demonstrations and art classes, all FREE in a good cause!!! I have art tutored to nomads on the Tibetan plateau, ingenious children in Sierra Madra mountains in Mexico, as well as here in Scotland . So really looking forward to the Latvian experience. The big, the beautiful, and the bold. Don’t miss seeing the gardens just now - they are so lush and full of colour 🤩 You can visit us everyday from 10-5 and enjoy the many trails and paths through the gardens and moorlands.

There are some absolutely beautiful varieties of hydrangeas at Glenwhan Gardens. This may be one of our favourites 🤗

Why not take some time this weekend to slow down, look after your mental health, and wander peacefully through the gardens 😌🌼(Did we say there’s cake too?)

Back to the bluebells and blue skies 🪻🦋 Visit us everyday 10-5pm with last orders in the Tearoom at 4:30. Dogs on leads most welcome 🐶

We often are asked when the best time to visit Glenwhan Gardens is, but to be truthful, we can’t choose just one season 🌈 There are several times throughout the year where colours change, texture takes hold of the landscape, and the various displays put on their best for visitors. So our advice…visit us as often as you can so you don’t miss out on the stunning collections the gardens have throughout the year 😉

All of this rainy weather has certainly had an impact on the gardens and especially the water garden. Despite the weather, a visit to the garden and tearoom makes for a lovely day out. Visit us every day 10-5, last orders at 4:30.

A wintry day in the garden ❄️

The recent storms have certainly taken a toll on the gardens and grounds 💔 It’s heartbreaking to see 8 or 9 of our much loved pines and a eucalyptus tree have been uprooted. We know many have been devastated by the damage caused by these storms and we count ourselves lucky.
