The light on this Harris’s Hawk hunting off saguaro cactus was pretty special! Check out the talon shadow on his wing!

Saguaro cactus can soak and store up to 200 gallons of additional water during a single downpour! Saguaro are found nowhere else in the world but here in the Sonoran Desert. A saguaro can develop temporary roots in as little as eight hours during a storm to gather as much moisture as possible.

If you think that’s interesting, hold on to your seat!!! In 1930, a 13-year-old boy sat in a saguaro for five days to set a world record. What a prick!
