BACKGROUND
Professional Consultancy and Capacity Building Association (PC&CBA) was established January 2004 with the mandate to develop and implement poverty reduction programmes, provide professional services and capacity building support for community service organizations (CSOs), non-governmental organization (NGOs) public sector institutions, small and medium size enterprises SMEs, and other
private sector organizations. Institutional strengthening, capacity building, needs assessment and evaluation are the primary focus of PC&CBA’s work. In each sector and region, PC&CBA engages people as partners in development, working together with them to build capacity and to achieve defined results/outcomes. PC&CBA is recognized for its contribution to awareness and understanding of developmental issues. In-depth understanding of institutional strengthening, capacity building approaches in Guyana, combined with the practical experience of implementing and monitoring training and capacity building programmes
Proven ability to mobilize communities around the developmental and capacity enhancement processes
Extensive experience in conducting capacity needs assessments, designing and implementing capacity building/training programmes and monitor and evaluate transformational programmes in Guyana
Experience in working with individuals and groups at the grass-root/household levels, using developmental tools such as results based management (RBM) and sustainable livelihoods approach (SLA), business planning, financial management, proposal writing and strategic planning.
