Parasol Solutions was established in 2015, by three Hong Kong-based Norwegians with backgrounds in creative media, business and engineering. We are a dual function company that operates in the fields of creative services and distribution. The idea for the company came as a result of identifying two market gaps that we were surprised to find in such a business-driven city as Hong Kong. The first ma
rket gap we found was an overall lack of one-stop creative service providers that could deliver complete packages of services. When a company needs promotions, branding, marketing, etc., they are often in need of services on multiple platforms and mediums. Parasol Solutions covers all of this in-house, by offering original and innovative products in photography, art-direction, design, video, content development and more. This allows our clients to significantly reduce the complexity, time and cost involved, by only having to work with one company for all their service needs. The second market gap we found, or rather missed, was the availability of Norwegian products in Hong Kong. We strongly felt that the uniqueness and artisanal quality of many Norwegian products would be welcomed and appreciated in Asia. As a result, we are now working with carefully selected suppliers in Norway, to bring products such as vintage furniture, coffee, and craft beer to Hong Kong. We are also currently looking to other East Asian markets, examining the possibility of expanding our distribution to other parts of the region.
