With Unilever’s clear purpose to make sustainable living commonplace, we are determined to foster a “purpose-led, future-fit” culture which drives business performance while improving the health of planet and society. To encourage colleagues to take an active role in their environmental wellness, Unilever Hong Kong organised U Barter activity where colleagues exchanged no-longer-needed items with each other. Sustainable habits such as donating old items and reusing second-hand products can help us reduce waste and contribute to a waste-free world.
Apart from waste reduction, Unilever also strives for creating a sustainable food system by making healthier and plant-based foods accessible to all. We incorporated Unilever’s “The Vegetarian Butcher” plant-based meat into traditional Cantonese cuisine – Poon Choi, and prepared a healthy and delicious feast for our colleagues after the U Barter activity. Everyone enjoyed the good food in lunch and had a great time together.

DiSC has been a well-known personal assessment tool describing 4 personality profiles – (D)ominance, (i)nfluence, (S)teadiness and (C)onscientiousness. Unilever Hong Kong has successfully organised 3 DiSC workshops in Q4. Our colleagues completed their self-assessments, and by decoding their personalised reports during the training, they know more about their own and their teammates’ motivation and priorities. Through this in-depth self-discovery journey, we hope to inspire our teams to have better understanding on each other’s differences, ultimately enhance collaboration and work results together.

We collaborated with a social enterprise to organize a Christmas Tree DIY workshop using real pine branches, dried fruit & nuts. These easy yet fabulous festive crafts sure are the best holiday decorations to add a personal touch to this jolly season.
