HKRoots has been created to provide a platform for our teenagers to engage in unique activities and programmes whilst fostering valuable life and social skills that seem to be going extinct. Hong Kong has so much to offer, but with modern lives as they are, these opportunities are missed too often. HKRoots hopes to inspire and instill the building blocks that will allow young people to reach their
full potential, become confident, social butterflies and all round valuable members of our community. HK Roots has been developed to fulfill a simple brief. Engage, experience and enjoy. But it goes slightly deeper than that. We look at each activity, programme, idea or concept and ask ourselves – does this fit, is it worthwhile? Everything is easy to justify- it’s cool, it’s interesting, but we wanted to define the purpose -so we created 4 pillars. Using these we hope to justify our reasoning, to give purpose, to make sure that everything we do has a point…
These pillars will ensure that every activity, programme or event has real life value. What we want to provide is a community where the only condition is that you ARE an individual. There are so many cool routes – pun intended – to choose from. We will offer the opportunity to explore them and help cultivate the unique sense of self that makes us so special.
