this beautiful fort is quite close to Kumta, located in town Mirjan. located in the west coast of uttar kannada. There have been conflicting theories about the date of its origin. It is built up by Nawayath sulatanats and later ruled by Pepper queen Chennabhairadevi... so this fort also known as Pepper queen fort. It was the location of several battles in the past. If you go inside you feel like you living in the 16th century... Nonetheless, Mirjan fort is massive fort where all anxiety and tensity are becalmed in the infinite leisure of nature. Glad to have explored one such place...
