🌟 **SMOKIN’ CHIEFS: WHERE SMOKIN’ HOT BBQ MEETS PENASCO!** 🌟
We entered Smokin’ Chiefs on a hot Penasco July afternoon and walked into a friendly, cool, and welcoming atmosphere with the aroma of wondrous smoked meat coming from the kitchen. 🥵🍖
As we sat down, our waitress was right there to take our drink order and answer any questions we might have. I decided on a Mojito and Leon ordered a Michelada. The Mojito was made perfectly for a refreshing and cool drink in the summer heat. 🍹 The Michelada was enjoyed with the bottle upside down to get the full mix of beer and clamato juice throughout the enjoyment of the drink. 🍺
The Potato Skin Appetizer arrived. I was impressed! These are not your ordinary potato skins. They were loaded with mouthwatering bacon and pulled pork and topped with grilled cheese. Served with a dip, it created the perfect combination. 🥔🥓🧀
Next, we were served the combo called Teeny Wahinie. This dish serves 2-4 people and has everything you would ever want in a BBQ meal. It included a 1/2 rack of mouthwatering ribs, 1/2 seasoned roasted chicken, 1/4 lb. of perfectly pulled pork, and 1/4 lb. of sliced brisket. The accompaniments were cornbread, corn on the cob, green beans, onion rings, and sweet potato fries. The onion rings are a definite must! They were made to crispy perfection, as were the sweet potato fries. 🍗🌽🍖
Located just north of Sam’s Club and Bodega, this is an excellent place to stop and enjoy a mouthwatering meal if you’ve been shopping or running errands in the vicinity before heading home. The food, service, and atmosphere are absolutely worth a try! 👌✨
