The Ideal Place to Stay in Paradise! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Greetings, my family and I just got back from spending an unforgettable week in hands down the most amazing penthouse in all of San Jose del Cabo! The six of us relished every single minute we spent inside this spectacular ocean view condominium. We often travel, yet rarely find the opportunity to truly relax and disengage. This time however, we are able to fully immerse ourselves in the spirit of relaxation and tranquility.

There are absolutely no cons I can write about; it’s all well-earned pros. You will definitely fall in love with the place from the moment you walk in. We found this penthouse in pristine clean condition when we arrived. Cleanliness was also evident in every other aspect, especially in the towels and bedsheets which were made available to us. The three rooms were comfortably spacious. The kitchen appliances met our every need. Our favorite area was the balcony, especially the two couches on it. We enjoyed listening to the soothing sounds of the waves, as well as watching many breathtaking sunrises and sunsets from here.

Since we traveled during a relatively light tourist season; we had all three of “Las Mañanitas” open air pools exclusively to ourselves. This turned out to be a real treat! Additionally, the beautiful beach was within easy walking distance and it was absolutely uncrowded.

Las Mañanitas (and of course this penthouse) is the ideal place to stay if you really want to get the most out of both San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. We rented two cars and thus easily commuted back and forth (being that the distance is only 19 miles apart). Las Mañanitas is also centrically located from the premier San Jose del Cabo resorts, like for example “The One & Only Palmilla”, and “Cabo del Sol Golf Club”. We also enjoyed eating at nearby exquisite restaurants like “Pitahayas” and “Flora Farms”, they are definitely a must!

The property manager at “Las Mañanitas” was very friendly and readily able to answer all of our questions. The security guards were always courteous and professional. The owner is a great person! He was consistently easy to reach and showed constant consideration. Such to the extent that he even allowed my family a late check-out, which proved to be a major convenience because of our evening return flight.

Overall, I would highly recommend this unique penthouse to anyone and everyone who has ever considered and or is considering visiting Los Cabos. You will not be disappointed!

Our 31st 5-star review just arrived. Here it is:

Our three generation family of five rented this condo for a week. It was a great size with plenty of room for all of us. Las Mananitas is extremely convenient to everything. We got lots of great info from the owner so it was easy to hit the ground running. He also suggested a caterer who came and cooked dinner for us twice. The front office was very helpful and arranged cleaning help and it was very reasonable. There were plenty of regular towels and beach towels and the beds were comfortable as well. There were a few glitches but the front office arranges to fix anything that needs it. The pools are very close and it is really easy with a toddler to go downstairs to swim. However, I noticed kids of all ages having fun in the pools and hot tubs. Location was exceptional. The Mega is very close and there are restaurants within walking distance. We hope to do this again next year. I would say it was incredibly successful and so easy.

Unbelievable luxurious penthouse! The penthouse was perfect for my family of five. The over-sized balcony offered magnificent panoramic views of the ocean. If ever in Los Cabos again, I will not hesitate here! The owner was very attentive and timely to all of our needs.

I will agree that the unit looks better in person than these photos! The place was large and had plenty of room for 5 adults and one child. All the rooms were clean and beautifully done. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed to cook and there was a large grocery store 3 mins away. All the pools were pretty deserted, so we had the pool in front our unit mostly to ourselves, and the beach is a few steps away. There were plenty of towels and in suite laundry was handy. I've never gone home from a vacation with clean clothes! We made good use of the patio everyday, the views are stunning. We loved the place so much we are planning to return!

Review #5874273 Fabulous stay at Las Mananitas

We just returned from a wonderful stay at the penthouse at Las Mananitas. I had never rented from VRBO before - and my only wish was that the condo looked like the pictures. I believe another reviewer suggested that the unit was even better than the pictures - and I would agree. It was large and comfortable and nicely decorated. I would say the unit as well as the entire property was very well maintained and in excellent condition. The owner was very helpful and quite easy to work with. He emailed us a list of suggested restaurants which was quite helpful. We used the car service he recommended. We also hired the chef service that he recommended - and I suggest others do as well. For $45 pp (plus we tipped him of course)- a chef came and made a multi course dinner, served it and cleaned up. We did this the last night - which was unfortunate because there were lots of great leftovers. Anyway - there were 3 lovely swimming pools with plenty of lounge chairs. The week we were there the crowd was very nice - quite and respectful. There were some families there - and they were calm and well behaved. The beach is quite long - you can walk a long way in either direction. You are very close to the Mega grocery store - there is a Starbucks there too - which we found convenient. We walked into town for dinner - about a 30 minute walk or a 5 minute ($6) taxi ride. We had dinner at Flora Farms which was new since we were there last (appx 10 minute taxi ride- $20). It was quite an experience - I would suggest it. There is a cute restaurant, Cynthia's, about one block away from Las Mananitas, which is open for lunch and dinner.We ate lunch there twice, and dinner there once. The fish I had for dinner was the best of the trip. Thursday night there is a gallery walk in the art district of San Jose from 5-7. It is a fun thing to do. The galleries all serve wine, and the art work is actually not half bad. All in all a lovely experience and we would go back.

Review #5133055 Best Mexican place to stay!

This was the best place we have ever stayed out in any part of Mexico. The grounds were beautiful and clean. The bedrooms were spacious and well appointed. The large open balcony was where we spent most of our 'indoor' time. We would highly recommend this unit to anyone who was travelling to San Jose del Cabo. There wer a number of sparkling pools and it was fum to try different ones out during our visit. The owner was helpful for answering all of our questions. This place is at the top of our lists and we all had a fabulous time in this penthouse unit.

Another Great San Jose Trip

The was the second time we have stayed in the Penthouse as Las Mananitas. Consistent with our prior time there it again was wonderful. They have kept the unit very up to date. The bed and linens are excellent and extremely comfortable. Of course the views are great and the convenience of the grill on the portico is great. We will be returning next year and plan on renting the unit again.

Wow!

My daughter and I stayed here for 5 nights. I rent condos for all our vacations, and have stayed in some that don't live up to the description. I had some concerns since we have not been to Mexico in 15 years. Robert was very helpful and prompt with our questions, is great to work with. This penthouse is simply fantastic, I would say it is even better than the pictures. The furnishings are elegant, the common areas and bathrooms finished to very high standards. Great big closets with wonderful built-in drawers to store away clothing and luggage. We also loved the openness of the huge lanai, with the sliding doors open all the way across the great room. Views to the ocean lovely. Like the use of tile everywhere - very clean and sophisticated. During this trip in late Feb/early March, we had the pool almost to ourselves. I've seldom seen such well-maintained grounds and pool area. When we walked down the (almost deserted) beach and looked at the Barcelo hotel pool, it was crowded, littered and loud with tourists. At Las Mananitas you will have no trouble with pesky timeshare salespeople, only residents and renters are on the grounds. 24 hour gate security is a plus, and being just across street from Mega grocery and Starbucks very convenient. Very easy straight shot to get to Las Mananitas on either the toll road or highway 1, if you are renting a car. Best restaurant experience at Flora Farms, fresh family style eating out a bit from the main center. We also enjoyed Habaneros restaurant, La Panga Antigua (expensive), Deckman's, Nicksan in the Palmilla shops. Don't miss the art walk on Thursday nights in old downtown.

Spring Break 2011: The dolphins from Cabo Dolphins at Puerto Los Cabos were moved out of their ocean pen into the pool at the beach club next door to protect them from the possible effects of the tsumani. We didn't tell the girls why we were going to the pool next door. One friend guessed that Justin Bieber was staying there.
