This is the official page of the Hurtigruten ship MS Richard With 🚢 MS Richard With is named after the founder of Hurtigruten, Captain Richard With.

His establishment of the Norwegian Coastal Express back in 1893 had an enormous impact in life along the Norwegian coast. This ship was delivered to us in 1993, 100 years after our founder completed his first ever Hurtigruten voyage. On board there is beautiful art by the famous Harr family. The panorama lounges, Horisont and Syvstjernen, treat you to unforgettable views of the surrounding scenery.

😇 While the famous Trollfjord is not open yet due to avalanche risk and falling rocks, the Svartsund can be sailed through in calm weather. With its even narrower opening, it makes for a quite spectacular experience 🤗 thank you, captain!

🧹 For å være en bærekraftig aktør langs norske kysten må man også jobbe for å ivareta akkurat denne. Derfor dro vi på strandrydding i Nordkapp kommune, med gjester fra Tyskland, Storbritannia og Ny Zealand. Det ble 1500 liter søppel.

We went on a beach clean up near the North Cape. Together with guests from Germany, the UK and New Zealand as well as the local 10th graders, we collected 1500 liters of rubbish.

Wir haben diese Woche in der Nähe des Nordkaps eine Strandaufräumaktion gestartet. Zusammen mit Gästen aus Deutschland, Großbritannien und Neuseeland sowie der 10.Klasse aus dem Ort, haben wir 1500 Liter Müll eingesammelt.

🥳Hurra! For Hurtigruta fylte 130 år. Vi hadde den store æren å seile inn i fødestede Stokmarknes med "Richard With" og vår adm. direktør Hedda Felin ombord og det ble dansing. Etter god stemning ombord med Stokmarknes Musikkforening ble vi tatt imot av folkefesten i Stokmarknes hvor Hedda og kaptein annonserte at vi skal endre vår hjemmehavn til selve Stokmarknes.

🤩Hurtigruten celebrated its 130th anniversary! We had the big honor to be sailing into our "birthplace" Stokmarknes with "Richard With" and our CEO Hedda Felin on board which ended in a dance. During the seiling the Brassband from Stokmarknes performed on deck and when we docked, we were met by a festival. There, Hedda and our captain announced that we will change our home harbour to Stokmarknes.

Sailing in to the Trollfjord yesterday, just before midnight. Science tells us this fjord was formed by glacial erosion. Legend tells us it was when a Troll fell whilst holding an axe. How do you believe it was formed?
