The new height of the Mount Everest is 8848.86 meters (29,032 feet). On 8 December in 2020, the new height of Mt. Everest (also known as Sagarmatha) was released.

The Mt. Everest Height Re-Measurement Expedition was organized by the Survey Department of Nepal and led by Er. Khimlal Gautam and Mr. Tshiring Jangbu Sherpa as the climbing guide.
The summit team spent ~2 hours on the summit to collect precise data. GNSS device was used to collect the precious data.

The new height of the Mount Everest is 8848.86 meters (29,032 feet). On 8 December in 2020, the new height of Mt. Everest (also known as Sagarmatha) was released.

According to the statistics of the Nepal Tourism Board, Tourist Arrivals in April month of year 2024 in Nepal is 1,11,376

The months of March, April, and May traditionally see a surge in tourist activity in Nepal, with many visitors coming for trekking and mountain climbing adventures. This Month, the largest group of tourists came from India, totaling 30,158

The influx of tourists during this period was primarily dominated by visitors from India, with 30,158 tourists arriving from the neighboring country. Second highest number of tourists came from country is United States of America, constituting 9,947 arrivals.

Additionally, 9,750 tourists arrived from China, 5,391 from the United Kingdom, 4,110 from Australia, 4,003 from Bangladesh, 3,755 from France, 3,270 from Germany, 2,977 from Russia, 2,310 from Malaysia as per the report by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB). In the first four months of 2024, Nepal welcomed a total of 4,16,069 foreign tourists visiting the country.
