As the WILD YAK EXPEDITIONS EVEREST Team and other mountaineers gear up for their ascent to Mount Everest, the icefall doctors are working tirelessly to create a secure climbing route from Base Camp to Camp II. This task involves placing ladders and ropes on the treacherous icefall sections. However, opening the route to Camp I took more than 10 days due to the discovery of over 5 hazardous spots along the way. Nevertheless, the Icefall doctors remain committed to their task and are expected to open the route to Camp II soon.

👍🙏We salute the incredible strength, determination, and commitment of the icefall doctors working in one of the world's most dangerous sections to ensure the safety of Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse climbers.

Climbing Mount Everest provides a very limited time window, only a few days each year, during which climbers can reach the summit. Depending on weather conditions, climbers may face long queues on the day of their summit attempt, or they may be fortunate enough to have the entire summit to themselves. This was the case for the Wild Yak Team’s Norbu Sherpa, as shown in the picture, where he took a self-photograph.

📸Picture taken from the north side of Everest! Yaks, caring logistics of mountaineers, are crucial in transporting supplies to the advanced Base camp at an impressive altitude of 6400 meters.
😮These amazing animals carry loads of up to 40 kgs in the spring and 60 kgs in the autumn as they ascend to such high altitudes. After staying one night in the ABC, they head back to 5000 meters the next day.
👍Their adaptation to these extreme altitudes is one of nature's remarkable wonders.
