Imja Tse, is a mountain in Sagarmatha National Park of the Himalayas of eastern Nepal. The peak was named Island Peak in 1953 by members of the British Mount Everest expedition because it appears as an island in a sea of ice when viewed from Dingboche.

Midway on the day-long drive between Kathmandu and Pokhara lies the hilltop settlement of Bandipur, a Newar town with its age-old flavor still intact.It is located at an altitude of 1,030 m in Tanahun district. During the conquest of King Prithivi Narayan Shah, many of the Newars inhibitants fled to the hill and was also the trade route to meet their increasing need. Nagdaha lies in the village of Dhapkhel in Lalitpur. It is a peaceful and amazing place to get relaxed for a day tour. The place is 10 km/40 mins. The pond contains water plant along its border and the statue of the lord Shiva. The pond used to be the living place of lord Shiva but due to the decrement of the devotees he turned himself into the pig. But later the pond being dirty he settled himself at Gosainkunda Lake in Rasuwa district.

The Khumbu Icefall lies at an altitude of 5486m (17,999 ft) not far above the Base Camp and Southwest of the summit. It is considered as one of the most dangerous stage of the South Col route to Everest's Summit. These crevasses are formed due to little warming and the icefall collapses. The ice blocks that tumbles may size from the car to the large houses. The estimated advancement of the glacier is 0.9m to 1.2m down the mountain every day.

Naurikot is the old typical Thakali viallage above the Kaligandaki valley. It starts from the Larjung village. The village offers the marvelous 360 degree view with Dhaulagiri, Tukuche peak, the Kali Gandaki River and the Nilgiri in full splendor. During spring season people celebrate the festival near Bokshi Khola where they gather to drink the fresh blood of rared yaks. The yaks recovers fast from the fresh and tasty grass and herbs after grazing in the pasture land.

Bhotechaur lies in the Sindhupalchok district which is 76 km/2 hr 15 minutes away from Kathmandu. It is also famous for the Shiva Mandir called Kundeswori (Kunda-pound) Temple on the bank of Jarke River. It is also known for the Everest Tea Garden being nick named as "Mini Ilam".
