Famous Festival Tour (Janai Purnima & G*i Jatra) in Nepal:
Hindu people celebrate Janai Purnima and G*i Jatra every year in Nepal. These two festivals often falls on the same day in August. These are going to be observed on 31, August this year.
Janai Purnima is famous for the Janai (sacred thread). Bramin and Kshetri people wear this thread once a year on this day while other some Hindus have a sacred thread tied around their wrists. This ritual is an affirmation of status for Brahmins and protection for other Hindus from any other ills and bad lucks. Nowdays, sisters also have tied thread to their brothers´ wrists as an offering of blessings.
However, this festival is celebrated all over the country, the high — altitude Goshainkunda Lake in Rasuwa District is the most observed since too many pilgrims go there for a ritual dip in the icy waters.The lake is equally famous in all over the world and the trekking trails upto there.
G*i Jatra is another famous rituals festivals in Nepal which falls in August every year. On this day, thousands of colorfully masked people are seen cheerfully parading through the streets of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Patan and Kritipur. The G*i Jatra festival is a symbolic of Cow festival.This rituals started literally by the ancient king Jayaprakash Malla to make happy and laugh to her queen who was dipressed by the death of her son. Since after people started to celebrate this as a festival in the memory of their dead relatives. They masked boys and girls as the appearance of cows and go to door to door to make happy their relatives who lost their family members in recent year.

Pilgrimage and Himalayan tours in Nepal !!

World´s famous pilgrimage specially of Hindu and Buddhist around the world lies in Mustang district in Nepal. Muktinath is the lord of salvation and shrine of lord Shiva worshiped in Kathmandu as the Pashupatinath.

The Muktinath temple is situated 48 km of northwest of Jomsom at the elevation of 3749 m high altitude which is a panoromic mountain range.

The main temple is in pagoda-shaped. Behind the temple there are 108 waterspouts cast in the shape of cow headed pour cold water. Pilgrims take bath of ice- cold holy water to remove sin as a religious beliefs.

The Muktinath package Tour is prepared on the basis of Kathmandu - Pokhara - Jomsom. Kathmandu to pokhara on driving along to Jomsom. You may take another option also taking flights from Pokhara to Jomsom.

In 2023, Nepal Army successfully completed Mountain clean up campaigns.They collected 35,700 KG garbage left by travelers in the Himalayas basically from the Mt. Everest, Lhotse and Barun Himal.
Its really a admirable job done by our army. But its still not sufficient to clean up and protect moutains from the devastating polution. The effort has to be doubled to keep glaciers safe from increasing human activities in the himalayas.This year only more than six hundred climbers reached to the EBC and we can assum that there must be a huge environmental impact in this regions.
Therefore, including mountain clean up campaigns travellers have to be taught for awarness, travel guides and tour trekking companies must be responsible and all stake holders of the tourism industry have to be careful sincerely to save mountains, wildlife, flora and fauna and local community which helps to enhance the sustainable tourism in Nepal.

International tourism in the first quarter of 2023 has reached 80% of pre- pandemic levels according to the United Nations World Tourism Organization. As per their research 235 million tourists travelled internationally in January, February and March. It shows that tourism sectors are very optimistic about to get bounce back of the tourism industry hence after.

Recently (May 13, 2023) CNN Travel has announced the top 23 best destinations list to travel in 2023. Among them Mustang Valley (Lomangthang Village), Nepal is 16th number in the list.

Lomangthang Village lies in the stunning lower Mustang valley in Nepal which is the famous ancient trail in the doorstep of Tibet.This is once known trails that facilitated trade between the Himalayas and India.

Trekking to Mustang Valley is an ambitious adventure.Visitors can explore ancient villages, culture and famous Buddhist monastries over there.Another attraction not to be missed out is the man- made Mustang Caves which lies above the Kaali Gandaki River and are filled with 2,000-year-old Buddhist sculpture and paintings.

To travel to Mustang, it takes 25- minute flight from capital city Kathmandu to Pokhara. From Pokhara you need to take another 20-minute flight to Jomsom.It is a kind of miracle mountain flights to see views in the journey. Alternatively, road transportation is also a choice to reach there. It takes 12-hour drive from Kathmandu.
