We himalayan proud to announce the reopening of Tibet for tourism, and we are offering an eight-day Tibet Overland tour that departs every Saturday from Kathmandu and Mount Kailash and Manasarovar tour for 10 Days.

The Tibet Overland tour is an eight-day journey that starts in Kathmandu, Nepal. The tour takes guests through some of the most stunning landscapes in the world, including the Himalayan Mountains, the Tibetan Plateau, and the scenic Friendship Highway. During the tour, guests will visit some of the most famous landmarks in Tibet, such as the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street. They will also have the opportunity to explore local markets, meet with Tibetan people, and learn about the unique culture and history of Tibet.

NOTE:- We also have a Fixed departure tour to Mt. Kailash and Lake Manasarovar tour for 10 Days

TIBET OVERLAND TOUR: 07 NIGHTS 08 DAYS DRIVE IN DRIVE OUT TOUR

Itinerary:-

Day 01: Kathmandu (1300) -Kerung Border (145 Km) 06-07 hours drive

Early in the morning scenic drive to Kerung Border (Nepal-Tibet Border) through the beautiful Nepalese countryside and after necessary border formalities at Nepalese immigration, an hour adventurous uphill drive by Bus & Van (normally) or 2 hour walks uphill (in case of landslide to Chinese immigration, check-in to hotel or Continue drive to Kerung. Stay overnight at Guest House.

Day 02: Kerung - Tingri (4300m) / Lhatse (4,350m) – Shigatse

Day drive uphill to the highest plateau of the world with the typical view of Tibetan landscape offering sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world. from where, weather permitting, breathtaking panorama of beautiful Himalayan ranges including Mt Cho Oyu (8201 M) & Mt Xishapagma (8012M) but dwarfed by the Vastness of the Tibetan plateau. From TINGRI, one can enjoy the magnificence of Mt. Everest (8,848 M). Continue scenic drive crossing Over Gyatchu La (5,220M), the highest pass en route to Lhasa via Lhatse from where a road to Mt Kailash bifurcates to the west. Stay overnight at Yak hotel.

Day 03: Xigatse - Gyantse (3,950m)- Lhasa

Morning sightseeing to the Panchen Lama's Tashilhumpu Monastery. Drive to Gyantse and visit to the Kumbum Stupa & Phalkor Monastery. Full day picturesque drive crossing over Karola (5,010m), Kambala (4,749m), Colorful Yamdrok-Tso Lake and the Tibetan lifeline river Brahma Putra (Yarlung Tsangpo) – Stay overnight at Flora Hotel.

Day 05-06: Sightseeing In Lhasa

Two full days sightseeing tour to Lhasa including Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazaar, And Potala Palace Drepung & Sera Monasteries. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 06: Lhasa – Xegar (4300m) 490km

Early morning drive to Xegar O/N at Guest House.

Day 07:- Xegar to Kerung Border

Day 01 - Kathmandu local

Early in the morning, enjoy Mountain flight and back to hotel for breakfast. After a short relaxation at the hotel, you will start with local sightseeing including Shree Pashupatinath temple , Swayambhunath , Bouddhhanath , Durbar square & Patan village etc. Stay @ Kathmandu.



Day 02 – Kathmandu - Bhubaneshwori temple - Chandragiri - Kathmandu

This day also demands to start early to complete the visit to Bhubaneshwori temple & Chandragiri hill. Stay @ Kathmandu.

Day 03 - Kathmandu to Nagarkot via Bhaktapur & Kailashnath Mahadev mandir ( 35 KMS )

Breakfast, Checkout & take a drive to Nagarkot. This place is famous for viewing sunrise and sunset. On the way to Nagarkot at 17 kms stop for Bhaktapur, perhaps the least changed of all the cities in the Kathmandu Valley, with a distinct medieval feel. Pottery and weaving are still traditional industries here. Architectural wonders abound, including the Palace of Fifty Five Windows, Golden Gate and the magnificent five-storied pagoda-style Nyatapola Temple. Overnight at the hotel.



Day 04 - Day rest and shopping local market

Day 05 – Nagarkot to Pokhara ( 210 KMS )

Drive to Pokhara touching Kathmandu on the outskirts. Pokhara is 210 kms from Kathmandu and is a 7 hours drive approx.

On the way visit the Manakamana Temple “ Goddess of Fulfilling Wishes” where you are taken by a cable ride of 10 mins ( Inr. 550 per person for the cable car tickets). Stay @ at Pokhara.

Day 06 - Pokhara

This morning you will go for an excursion trip to Sarangkot. Sarangkot is the most popular tourist destination from where the tourist can enjoy the great view of the Pokhara Valley and the magnificent view of the mountains. Sarangkot is only 13 kms from Lake Side, Pokhara. Sarangkot is the highest view point for a sunrise and it is just 1592m high. Sarangkot is cooler than Pokhara. back to the hotel for breakfast. This afternoon time for local sightseeing including Bindabasini Temple , The temple is in the area of the bazaar hence a journey of the old bazaar can be combined with a visit to the temple. Barahi temple, Seti Gourge (Hanging bridge), Later visit Devi’s fall, Gupteshwor Cave, Shanti Stupa & Phewa lake. Stay @ Pokhara.

Day 7- Pokhara

Visit to Begnas lake (boating is possible) & Rupa lake (to be seen from distance). stay @ Pokhara.

Day 08- Pokhara to Chitwan

Drive to Chitwan. Chitwan is 180 Km & is a 04 hours drive from Pokhara. Chitwan is one of Asia's premier wildlife reserves. Enjoy activities at the resort. Stay @ Chitwan.

Day 9 - Chitwan

Enjoy Jungle observation at Chitwan National park. The highlight being the Safari in the jungles. Other activities are Canoeing, Nature

Walk and Bird Watching. Also experience walking through the forests with naturalists and watch the Native folk dances of the Terais. Stay @ Chitwan.

Day 10 - Chitwan to Kathmandu

Exploring the Himalayas with Himalayan Car Rental Company Nepal!!!
Day 1:
Our journey began in Kathmandu, where our representative from Himalayan Car Rental Company Nepal met us at our hotel. We then proceeded to the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) to obtain our TIMS permit, which is essential for trekking in the Himalayas. After a short wait, we obtained our permit and headed back to our hotel, where we prepared for the next day's adventure.
Day 2:
We left Kathmandu early in the morning and headed towards Sarangkot, a hill station located in the Kaski District of Nepal. The drive was scenic, with the snow-capped Himalayas visible in the distance. Our driver dropped us off at Sarangkot, where we spent the next two nights.
Day 3:
We spent the day exploring Sarangkot and its surroundings. The hill station is famous for its panoramic views of the Himalayas, and we spent hours taking in the breathtaking scenery. Our driver was free for the day, giving us the opportunity to explore at our own pace.
Day 4:
After breakfast, we bid farewell to Sarangkot and headed towards Thasang Village, also known as Jomsom. The drive was long, but the scenery was spectacular, with the Kali Gandaki River flowing alongside us for most of the journey. Our driver dropped us off at our lodge in Jomsom, where we spent the next four nights.
Day 5-7:
We spent the next three days exploring Jomsom and its surroundings. We visited the Muktinath Temple, a sacred pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists, and trekked to the nearby villages of Kagbeni and Marpha. Our driver was free for these days, giving us the opportunity to explore at our own pace.
Day 8:
After breakfast, we bid farewell to Jomsom and headed towards Pokhara Lakeside. The drive was scenic, with the Annapurna Range visible in the distance. Our driver dropped us off at our hotel in Pokhara Lakeside, where we spent the next two nights.
Day 9:
We spent the day exploring Pokhara Lakeside and its surroundings. We visited the Phewa Lake and the Davis Falls, and took a boat ride on the lake. Our driver was free for the day, giving us the opportunity to explore at our own pace.
Day 10:
After breakfast, we headed towards Bandipur, a hill station located in the Tanahun District of Nepal. The drive was scenic, with the Himalayas visible in the distance. Our driver dropped us off at our hotel in Bandipur, where we spent the night.
Day 11:
After breakfast, we bid farewell to Bandipur and headed towards Kathmandu. The drive was long, but the scenery was spectacular, with the Himalayas visible in the distance. Our driver dropped us off at our hotel in Kathmandu, where we spent the night.
Day 12:
We spent the day exploring Kathmandu and its surroundings. We visited the Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu temple located on the banks of the Bagmati River, and the Boudhanath Stupa, a Buddhist pilgrimage site. In the morning, we took a half-day trip to Nagarkot, a hill station located 32 kilometers east of Kathmandu, where we enjoyed the panoramic views of the Himalayas.
