Paragliding is the recreational and competitive adventure sport of flying paragliders. Lightweight, free-flying, foot-launched glider aircraft with no rigid primary structure. The pilot sits in a harness suspended below a fabric wing consisting of a large number of interconnected and baffled cells. Wing shape is maintained by its suspension lines, the pressure of air entering vents in the front of

the wing and the aerodynamin forces of the air flowing over the outside. Despite not using an engine,
paraglider flights can last many hours and cover many jundreds of kilometers, though flights of 1~2 hours and covering some tens of kilometers are more the norm. By skillful exploitation of sources of lift the pilot may gain height, often climbing to alititudes of a few thousand meters. Paragliding is a pretty excited adventure sport in Pokhara and Kathmandu, Nepal. It is truly wonderful and fulfilling experience in this Himalayan countryf for the adverture-seekers. You can experience unparalleled scenic grandeur as you share airspace with Himalayan griffin vultures, eagles,kites, while floating over villages, monasteries, temples, lakes and jungles with a fantastic view of the majestic Himalayas. Chapakarka, is the most beautiful site in Kathmandu, Nepal which is located at 2100m from sea level. This area is cool with green hills and a wide variety of vegetation and birds. It is just 15kms far from city of Thamel, Kathmandu.
