lly need financial and emotional support to grow up as an educated and economically independent Nepali citizens. The result is they are bound to live on the streets and are unable to attend schools. More than half of these children are malnourished and only a quarter of them have an access to adequate sanitation. We have found a very desperate plight of children who have lost their parents due to the decade long Maoist insurgency. Due to the devastating effects of this political conflict and civil war, many children are reported as homeless, without parents to care for them. Though we are a newly established organization, we are totally committed to provide shelter, personal care, educational opportunities and a right environment for their overall individual growth. We are currently supporting nearly 10 children and are pondering to expand to help many more children in need in the days ahead. In many Asian countries, it is disadvantaged women and children that suffer the most from society’s inequities and they are the ones that can benefit society the most when given support and education. We are totally focused on providing ample opportunities to the underprivileged and physically unable children in various areas like education, health and skill development. This is accomplished by fundraising activities, making a direct link of the children with the sponsors and donars, who can visit the children on a personal one-to-one basis. They can also interact with them personally so that they are fully assured that the donation isn’t going to end up in the ‘wrong’ hands. We always want to be sure that the donation we receive is going to support the children in their overall personal development in the most efficient ways. The goal of our organization is accomplished only through the generous donars who believe in our missions. As a not-for-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of donations and contributions to support the needs of children in Nepal. Donations of any amount are welcome and assistance of any kind is whole heartedly appreciated. Donation of any amount, large or small, will be greatly appreciated. We accept all methods of payment. You can send in cash, check(payable to (OCSD) or donate online through our secured method of payment. We will publish the names of the donars on a regular basis in the official website of our organization. We would also like to warmly welcome the interested volunteers who can give life to our mission. They are our assets and can add an essence to our work. We need volunteers for our fundraising program. Through their contributions, we can bring a change in the life of a child. Running a home for children and providing education to them has financial needs that are not covered by the sponsorship funds alone. Keeping this very fact into mind, we have also considered to commence a skill development training program to the people wishing to go abroad (specially gulf countries) for employment opportunities.These trainings are provided to the people going to pursue their career as an electrician, plumber, welder, mechanic and mason etc.the profits thus made will be directly invested for the children, keeping some amounts in the account of the organization for the future use in case the donation we receive is not sufficient to cover the concurrent expenses. We hope to see our organization grow into a sustainable institution for the welfare of the Nepali society and specifically for our children who need all the help we can give them.
