DASHAIN IS HERE !!!

HAPPY GHATASTHAPANA EVERYONE !

Ghatasthapana marks the beginning of Bijaya Dashami - the longest and the most auspicious festival celebrated by Nepalese people around the globe. Ghata means "pot or vessel" and sthapana means "to establish". On this day, the pot symbolizing Goddess Durga is filled with holy water and is then sewn with barley seeds. The sprouted seedlings are called Jamara. These are offered along with tika on the tenth day, which is observed as Bijaya Dashami - the victory of good over evil.
