35 Yrs old Rajesh Lama walked around 433 KM for nearly 60 days & reached to the summit of Mt. Everest, becoming one of the first people to climb Everest in this way. He started his journey on April 1st from Kathmandu & walked through Dhulikhel, Koshi Paari chaubush Dudugaun (his village), Sailung, and Jiri, arriving at Basecamp on the 24th day of his trek. ❤️

Lady June Hillary, the wife of late mountaineer Sir Edmund Hillary, has died aged 92.

Her death on Saturday was confirmed by her daughter Robyn Mulgrew.

Lady Hillary was the patron of the New Zealand Nepal Society and served as the Honorary Consul-General of Nepal to New Zealand for many years.

How Long Does It Take To Climb Everest Mountain (8848.86m)? :

Well, climbing a high mountain is a long and gradual process, and it may vary on weather conditions and physical strength. And Mt. Everest is not an exception. In general, it takes around Eight to Ten days to reach Everest Base Camp after spending few days in Kathmandu. And at the Everest Base Camp, you’ll spend around six weeks on Training, Proper  Acclimatization,.Rotation to the higher camps & Final Summit Push. One of the intentions of staying at Everest Base Camp for so long is getting used to cold weather, harsh environments, and being familiar with the mountain you are going to the summit. However, the Everest Climbing Itinerary may differ according to the weather conditions and climbers‘ adaptation to the environment and other issues. So, overall in general it takes 8 to 10 weeks (55days to 70 days) for the whole process of the Everest Expedition.

Phunjo Jhangmu Lama from Gorkha stood atop Mt Everest at 6:23am this morning, reclaiming her title of the fastest woman climber on Everest, confirmed base camp officials

On this day, may 29, 1953, at 11:30 AM, Sherpa Guide Tenzing Norgay Sherpa from Nepal, and Sir Edmund Hillary, a mountaineer from New Zealand, became the first men to reach the summit of Mount Everest, the highest peak on Earth. Their historic achievement marked a significant milestone in the history of mountaineering and exploration.

A father and son set out to scale Mount Everest to raise money for Dementia UK.

Paul Anderson, 56, and his son, Aaron Anderson, 22, from Wirral, climbed 8,849m up Mount Everest, to raise money for Dementia UK in honour of their mother and grandmother, who has vascular dementia and is living in a care home. Vascular dementia is caused by problems in the blood supply to the brain due to damaged or diseased blood vessels, a stroke, or ‘mini strokes’ called transient ischaemic attacks (TIAs).

A 16-year-old girl from successfully scaled Mount Everest, becoming the youngest Indian mountaineer to scale the world's highest peak from the Nepal side, the Indian Navy said on Thursday.

, a Class 12 student from Navy Children School in Mumbai, along with her father Cdr S Karthikeyan, embarked on their expedition to climb Mount Everest (8,849 metres) on April 3, the Indian Navy said. They reached the peak on May 20.

Lieutenant Jigme Pelden Dorji is a dedicated and accomplished member and horseman of the Commando wing under the Royal Bhutan Army. His dedication and excellence are evident in his extensive background in physical training, leadership, horse riding, and high-altitude training. In 2022, he earned the Best Rider Trophy at the Delhi International Horse Show, where he represented Bhutan and even attempted a world record in horse riding.

First Slovak and Kazakh women summit Everest
Lucia Janicova has become the first Slovak woman to summit Mount Everest. She reached the summit on Sunday and safely returned to the base camp, according to base camp official of the Department of Tourism.
Janicova was part of a 15-member paying climber team of the Seven Summit Treks expedition. The team included Lester Baker Perry, a US climber and climate scientist, along with Jose Carlos Mostajo De Los Heros, Daniel Vargas Calvo, Sarah Abdovais, Seyedhamidreza Hashemi, Michael Andrew Arnstein, Pawel Gwardys, Afshin Asgharzadehledari, Benito Tompot, Mahdi Norouzi, Dora Argentina Raudales Vargas, Atousa Manavi, and Behrouz Shahriari.
Meanwhile, Kazakh skyrunner athlete Anar Burasheva achieved the milestone of being the first Kazakh woman to reach Mount Everest. She also summited the the world’s highest peak on Sunday.
