Dear brothers and sisters,
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuhu.
By the Grace of Allah SWT, as we draw closer to implementing our intentions for Hajj this year, most brothers and sisters are starting to look for information online.
The primary thoughts are usually around cost and services, although in our experiences, these are definitely not the only measures for planning a successful Hajj. There are other critical factors that we will also expand on.
Nonetheless, the package that we are currently putting together for New Zealand and Fiji residents is as follows:
• Hotel in Makkah by the Haram on the first row e.g. Clock Tower, Millenium etc.
• No Aziziyah or Shishah stay (these are 6 Km from the Haram)
• Full 40 salaat in Madinah
• Around 23 days in Saudi – This can be shortened as per individual customer needs
• VIP services and facilities in Mina during the Hajj days
• Fly into Makkah and fly out of Madinah or vice versa
• Half board (Breakfast and dinner in hotels and full board in (Mina)
• Transfers to and from Airports, Hajj etc. as per usual
• Preliminary Itinerary will be posted on our website by the end of December.
We should Insha Allah be able to provide final full details with pricing around the end of January 2019. Package price last year was NZD 10 560.
As for the other critical factors, they are how well you are prepared psychologically, spiritually and physically. We are planning to run a series of articles and blogs on our website in order to get you and ourselves well prepared.
We will also manage expectations through online communication to you regarding changes we have made since last year to improve our services and also what you should be prepared for.

Airlines and airport regulations when departing for Hajj

Assalamu Alaikum my dear brothers and sisters,

There has been a communique from the airlines in preparation for our departure. It concerns rules that will be applied at the airport.

Basically, all you need to ensure is:

1. Every Hajj PAX baggage must have a coloured identification tag / Sticker indicating the flight / Date, Name, Nationality, Passport Number affixed on the baggage. -> (This will apply when we board at Auckland Airport. All it means is that this information must be written in your normal baggage tag before you check baggage in).
2. Hajj Pilgrims are not allowed to carry:
• Acuminate “GORO” (Devil Fruit)
• Accessories and consumable goods that exceed personal use intended for selling or marketing.
3. Hajj pilgrims are allowed ONLY to carry a 5 litre container of Zamzam water per pilgrim produced by the Custodian of the Holy Mosques Zamzam Project. Zamzam Water Containers must be well wrapped properly by the wrapping company at the airport.
4. Hajj pilgrims who carry jewellery or any cash amount equivalent to more than SAR 60,000.00 must fill the Declaration forms on Arrival & Departure.

5. Medications or medical herbal formulations exceeding the pilgrims personal use shall not be accepted.
6. Ensure Vaccination card is available prior boarding the flight.

Exceptional Hajj for New Zealand and Fiji

Assalamu Alaikum my dear brothers and sisters in Islam,

Please find below a suggested list of what you should consider taking with you on Hajj. It is a memory jogger as you might already have your own list.

Hajj 2018
Suggested List of what to take

Health and Hygiene:

1. Vitamins
2. Prescription medication (Doctor’s script in case you are asked at customs, makes life easier)- Visit your doctor before you leave
3. Asthma spray, allergy tablets, EpiPen etc.
4. General over the counter pain, cold, cough, diarrhoea medicine etc. Balms, band aids etc.
5. Personal hygiene / toiletries set
6. Latex gloves
7. Hand sanitation solution
8. Unscented soap, Unscented deodorant, Unscented Vaseline / petroleum gel (a must for men in Ihram)
9. Battery operated hair trimmer and shaving gear if you want to do it yourself
10. Toilet paper or tissues or wet wipes

Clothes:

During Ihram in Mina. You will only be allowed to take a shoulder bag - Think what you will wear during 5 days of hajj
11. All clothes are Ihram for women (underwears, trousers, abaya, hijab, socks, etc.)
12. Men may pack an extra set of Ihram and set of clothes for Mina
13. Small towel

Footwear:

very important to have comfortable and good quality specially for 12 km walks of Jamaraat – most common injuries are blisters
14. Pair flip flops / sandals (not fully covering ankles and toes) for bathrooms and for men when in Ihram
15. Comfortable walking shoes / sandals / flip flops

Accessories:

16. Large-brimmed hat (not allowed during Ehram for men)
17. Umbrella – provided in Saudi
18. Sunglasses
19. Personal traveling prayer mat if needed- Can buy in Saudi
20. Tawaf counter – Provided in Saudi

Electrical:

21. Power point converter
22. Phone charger
23. Extension cord with multiple outlets (1 per 4 person in the room)
24. A torch (or use phone)

Comfort:

25. A camp stool / chair – Can buy in Saudi or borrow in Harram
26. Wheelchair – Can hire or buy in Saudi
27. Padded mat for Muzdalifah – buy in Saudi or provided
28. Back pack – small standard to take to Mina

Documents:

29. Dua book – Can buy in Saudi Quran – Can buy in Saudi
30. X2 Extra copies of passport and visa
31. One for SIM card purchase
32. One for check in at Hotel

Note that everything is available in Saudi Arabia in supermarkets and pharmacies etc. So, if you prefer to purchase over there, it is up to you. You might not get exactly to your choice but availability is there.

Classes - Hajj 2018

Sunday 8 July 2018 - Hajj Class cancelled

We are sorry to inform you that this Sunday session at 1 p.m. at the Otahuhu Masjid has been cancelled due to the hall being needed at that time for funeral purpose.

Uncle Master Salam and brother Shakeel will also be busy due to their close relationship with the family of the deceased.

We pray for the Jannutul Firdous for the deceased and rewards for the family for their loss and patience.

Insha Allah classes will resume next week.

Assalamu Alaikum and congratulations to brothers and sisters who are joining us for hajj this year.

This is now going to be the busiest time for Almarwah travel Limited:

With our suppliers, we are signing off all hotel contracts, transportations, airlines etc. and finalising all dealings with the Ministry of Hajj in Saudi Arabia including the final numbers of visa that we will be issuing this year.

With our customers we are now processing passports. As soon as we get the go ahead with the Ministry of Hajj this week Insha Allah, your passports with be submitted in their database and sent to the Saudi Consulate for processing.

Remember, that the Consulate will be processing in excess of 500 passports submitted around the same time. So you need to submit all your paperwork now or it will be panic station and stress for yourself as it gets closer to the date of departure.

Know that Almarwah Travel limited does not take any responsibility and is not liable in case you don't make it on the fight because of your own organisation. We do not wish this at all, we are saying this because we need your help to ensure that all goes smoothly and that everybody is happy and relaxed for this beatiful and blessed trip.

Assalamu Alaikum,
As customary, Master Abdul Salaam supported by his family will be conducting free Hajj classes for Almarwah Travel limited hajj group. You are all invited to attend.

Time: 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Zohr athan at 12.40pm and Jamaat at 12.50pm)

We strongly recommend these classes for those who have not done their own preparation and learning. This will also give you an insight of what you will be experiencing over there so tht you are mentally prepared.

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuhu,

Our congratulations that Allah SWT in His Absolute Mercy and Generosity has accepted for you (Insha Allah) two major achievements this year:
1. Witnessing the month of Ramadan - we pray that Allah SWT accepts all our efforts and supplications
2. Hosting you as His guest in His House during hajj this year. May Allah SWT accept our intentions and make the road ahead easy for us.
Alhamdulillah we are now at the final stages of preparations and it is most important that you follow the requests and deadlines. Failing to do so may bring a lot of difficulties and even jeopardise you trip.

CONFIRMATION:
For those who have made full payment, thank you; you may skip this section. However, if you have not made full payment please note the following:
A. Payments:
1) All payments must have by now been made in full. We are quickly approaching our booking limit. Even if you have paid a deposit at this stage, someone new making full payment will take priority over you after the date below.
2) The absolute final date is the 16th of June 2018
3) Anyone returning for hajj within 5 years will need to pay an extra SR 2000 based on exchange rate of the day. When we pay. This is NZD 760 at the moment.
B. Spaces:
1) We still have few more spaces. We will have a countdown counter on our website after next week and also will advertise on Facebook
2) Once the space is filled in we cannot guarantee the same high-level package at this low price.

SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS AND PASSPORT:
Must be received by 25TH JUNE 2018 by Almarwah Travel Limited.

A. Postage:
1) For those of you who are close to and have personal relationship, you might prefer to hand over your complete documentations to Brs. Master Salam or Shakeel (New Zealand) and Brs. Saiyad or Faizal (FIJI) who will get them to us by the deadline above
2) You may courier them to us directly. In this case please enclose a pre-paid self-addressed return courier bag so we can send you back your passport and documentations once they are done.

B. Passport availability:
1) Your passport will stay with us until latest 1 week before you travel for Hajj (3rd August 2018).
2) Do not plan any travel between 25th June and 3rd August. If you have any issue with this you must contact us.

C. What you need to send before 25th June:
1) Refer to attached check list called Document Checklist (passport, photos, vaccination etc.)
2) We suggest you print and tick it off as you complete and submit your way through

Assalamu Alaikum,

We have had a lot of queries regarding the Hajj package. We are doing everything to get something out to you as soon as possible but we can only move as fast as our suppliers.
However, we understand that one need to have some ideas as to what will be offered. Our plan going well Insha Allah we are looking at the following:
a- Leave 11th August 2018 for Jeddah
b- 6 to 7 Nights in Makkah near the Haram i.e. out of hotel and onto the marbles of the Haram.
c- 4 Nights in Mina
d- 3 Nights in same Hotel in Makkah by the Haram
e- 9-10 Nights in Madinah
f- Arrive back to Auckland 5th September. Fiji maybe 6th.

If you want custom shorter package, we will tailor these individually to suit your needs.

Current Challenges causing delays:
1- Fiji group. Major limitations on airline routes. More so this year as Qatar Airways is out of action and putting a lot of pressure via Australia. Also very expensive flights from Fiji to any pick up point.
2 - Fiji Group - Major logistic problem to have the group together with the New Zealand group
3 - Hotel negotiation and contract underway

Insha Allah we are worrking very hard on these challenges and we hope that we will be able to post some good news soon. I am estimating another 2 weeks.

Hotels: All 5 stars as much as possible. We are looking at Hilton (now millenium) or Dar Tawfiq or Fairmont in the Clock Tower for Makkah
Movenpick, Aqeeq Millenium or Continental in Madinah

We anticipate the cost for the package will be around $9900 but we are not going to take any deposits until all is confirmed and our customers are happy with the package.

Assalamu Alaikum to ALL,
Alhamdullillah, we are now progreesing towards releasing details for our hajj package. We are very excited at Almarwah as we have listened to our customers and continue to improve and offer unique experiences during Hajj.
This year we are planning to enter and leave Saudi Arabia together with our brothers and sisters from Fiji.
We will progressively load details for you Insha Allah starting from Friday next week including finalised travel dates, Itinerary and hopefully our hotel names or at least the choice of hotels we are looking at for both Makkah and Madinah.
