Another FY draws to a close; any appetite out there if we were to post some EOFY specials this coming weekend?

Looking at the intel feeds into the Bullionnz National Intelligence Centre and depending on the item, these would be $5, $10, $20 and even $30 dollars cheaper per item than identical/similar items currently offered by some elsewhere across the country.

We would look to set these up this weekend for a short period so no messing around making the experience painfully slow. Also, no pi***ng around lengthy 'processing times': items would be dispatched on the Tuesday after Easter.

Greetings Stackers, Dave here founder of Bullionnz.

Our recent Stack-A-Thon was a huge success and given the after action queries there may be appetite for another. If you are keen let us know by leaving a comment and if there is enough interest I will get another kicked off.

I started Bullionnz for a number of reasons; my background leant itself to moving into sales of precious metal but more importantly around 2006 Kiwi's were at risk due to the regurgitation of bullion mis-information; mostly from overseas. Much of this coming from Auckland's North Shore; but not only from there to be fair. In the ensuing years a number of 'traders' (I use the term loosely), either ended up in jail or skipped the country with good old honest Kiwi's nest eggs. (Grace Holdings NZ, Kiwi Bullion) Sadly with a bit of research Kiwi's could have potentially avoided this as the business practices of some were clearly red lights.

All through this Bullionnz rather noisily blazed a path into battle for others to follow. This made us the target of other so called purveyors; so we must have been doing something right eh? We are purposefully unique, different and distanced from the mainstream bullion industry in New Zealand for a reason.

I would absolutely go as far as to say we are arrogant; something we are proud to wear as a badge as we can afford to be and we make no apology for leveraging this arrogance when it comes to ferreting out arse hat. We are by no means perfect, often lacking patience with those who are clearly a danger to themselves when it comes to bullion (through ignorance), those who try and have a crack at us but do not know their arse from their elbow and those lacking basic decency when we are trying to unf*k drama of their creation; but you can bet your arse we shoot with straight dice!!

It is timely I thank all the stackers who see through the bullion industry crap and who we are proud to have as Bullionnz customers. You know who you are and know we will work till be bleed for you. Your support is appreciated and has taken us from strength to strength.

**Bullionnz Christmas Closedown Period**
Stackers, we will cease dispatching orders on 21 December and recommence 30 December (subject to couriers operating). Please consider this when purchasing close to shut down.

Rest assured we wont be dicks and take your money only for you to find out we cannot ship until after the break!! That would put is in cockwomble territory and there is enough of those disguised as humans already!! We will confirm with you that we can dispatch prior to shutting down prior to requesting payment. This will be dispatch; what the couriers do is up to them. So rest assured you will have full visibility.

**Auction House in Nelson Legally Selling Fake Coins**

Now I will be transparent; I have absolutely no love for those in the numismatic business BUT, and I cannot stress this enough BUT they, along with all Kiwi's, deserve to be protected!!

They say the law is an ass, and there are no bigger ass laws than those supposedly policing fake and counterfeit goods. Online entities can espouse a supposed 'partnership' with the likes of MBIE to protect New Zealanders yet possess a dedicated ‘replica’ category which allow peddlers to infest the NZ marketplace like cancer with 'replicas'......my arse they are replicas! Plain and simple; any object manufactured to look like the real thing which is not made by the original manufacturer (or under license from them) is FAKE/COUNTERFEIT and is designed to dupe and deceive. So called safeguards provided by auction sites range from non-existent to pathetic when it comes to having any teeth to police the listing of FAKE/COUNTERFEIT items.

There appears to be a growing body of stupidness created by the group think of amoebic brained cockwombles who believe there is nothing wrong with allowing people to import and sell 'replicas' of dubious origin; as long as they say what it is. Really? From a precious metal perspective, we have over the years engaged a number of entities with specific concerns around 'replicas'. Many such engagements have left us speechless; which is no mean feat! The so called 'expert' groups within the entities we have engaged were unbelievably inept in even the basics of precious metal knowledge. At one point during a discussion, I had to break down into one syllable words the meaning of 'fine metal' - how much simpler can this two word statement be though? FFS....one of the words is already one syllable!!! The level of the collective understanding of these so called 'experts' was such that it did not reach anywhere near the minimum level of domain specific knowledge which would allow any semblance of productive intellectual discussion relating to policing FAKE/COUNTERFEITS on their site. That said, their agenda was clear; ‘we don't give a f*k as long as we can make money from it.......’

Even if a buyer knowingly purchases a 'replica' for some reason (f*k knows why you would; but different strokes I guess) there is nothing which prevents said person passing it as genuine at a later stage. That is why purchasing from back yard hawkers is tweaking the nose of the grim reaper, and I will be brutal here; you get what you deserve!!!

But let's be clear, what the Nelson business did (by the letter of the law) is NOT ILLEGAL. I will say that again for clarity; the seller was not doing anything ILLEGAL in accordance with current New Zealand Law. The customer even had to pay up what he owed for the FAKE/COUNTERFEIT items he had the unfortunate experience to agree to purchase (albeit unknowingly at first)!!!!! We at Bullionnz have our own opinion on the legalities and ethical nature of this practice. What this sad sorry saga shows is the danger of not dotting your I's and crossing your T's when it comes to purchasing habits. I would suggest it is very difficult for the likes of auction houses (and pawn shops) to be able to validate an unbroken chain of custody of items they sell between manufacturer and themselves. Therefore, you can see how easy it is for nefarious bottom dwellers to palm off FAKE/COUNTERFEIT (…..oh….sorry…..I mean ‘replicas’!!) items to be on-sold by these entities; either knowingly or unknowingly to poor hard working New Zealanders. This issue is further compounded when the seller has no integrity or ethics and does not give a f*k about their customers!!

And that ladies and gentlemen is the risk you take when not buying from a dedicated purveyor of precious metal! Don't you love that bu****it 'buyer beware'/'sold as is where is' nonsense?
