If you’re coming all the way to the Arctic, you do want to spend as much time outside as possible.

Watch the Northern Lights till late, go cross-country skiing around the frozen lake, make snow angels in two-meters deep snow. 🩵

And you know it can get quite cold in Lapland! At times, the temperature in the winter can drop below -30°C (but don’t worry, usually it’s a bit warmer than that! 🥶).

Now, you certainly won’t enjoy your trip if you are cold! But don’t worry—we got you covered! 😎

Follow these tips and we promise you will be dry, warm and comfortable!

Hej, my name is Alina and I have been to Norway with 90degreesnorth last September. This was an incredible experience to meet new people and explore the country.
Our first day started early in the morning with the bus ride to Oslo and everyone was really excited to start this journey.
On the first day we explored the rainy Oslo and got a city tour by our tour guide, Karolina. She was with us throughout the trip and proved to be a great guide, always providing us with many interesting facts about the places we visited. The following days we continued our journey to Bergen, Flåm and the Luster Fjord. We stayed in hostels and cabins which were really nice. Unfortunately, the weather was not so good the last days, but this was not a problem at all. We had a great time together as a group and could still explore the nature around the luster fjord.
Despite spending a lot of time on the bus, it never got boring. There were so many things to see outside, and we did several stops to explore more of the nature between our destinations.
My highlight of the trip was definitely the cruise from Gudvangen to Flåm. The weather was incredible and the scenery next to the fjord is a breathtaking! If you go on the Norway trip you must book this cruise!
I thoroughly enjoyed this week a lot and can highly recommend attending!

Earlier this year, I went on a 4-day trip to the Swedish Lapland with 90degreesnorth. I had been to Lapland once before and I can say that traveling with 90degreesnorth surpassed my expectations and raised the whole experience to new heights.
Our amazing guide Karolina was there with us from the moment we arrived at the airport of Kiruna, and she made sure that everything was going smoothly during the rest of the journey. She introduced us to the city of Kiruna with a unique tour before the bus took us to camp. It was late winter, which turned out to be one of the best moments to travel there: not too cold nor too dark, but more than enough to get a picture of the beautiful northern lands of Scandinavia and enjoy the ideal experience. This allowed us to enjoy the thrill of riding the snowmobiles on a frozen lake at maximum speed and try other winter activities such as cross-country skiing or snowshoe hiking.
Riding the sledges with the dogs is another great activity where you can really feel the energy and excitement of the dogs to start running. All of them were super friendly and afterwards they got well deserved love and pets from us dog lovers. But the true protagonist of this journey, and one of the big reasons why Lapland is on the bucket list of many people around the world, is the northern lights.
Shortly after beginning the bus ride to the northern lights tour, we already started spotting the auroras in the sky. But it got even better when we arrived at the starting point. And what a view it was. It felt as if someone was painting watercolors in the sky, with beautiful tones and bold strokes. But believe me when I say, no matter how much I describe it you can’t really picture it until you see it for yourself.
The rest of the trip was not less important, in fact it is the little moments at the sauna, enjoying a meal together, lighting a fire or going for a hike that made this trip a true bonding experience, even though I barely knew anyone from before. It is truly a once in a lifetime journey, and I highly recommend going on this journey if you have the opportunity.

Hi amazing people, my name is Pablo and some weeks ago, I started a new adventure and went on a trip to Lapland that turned out to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience! I am glad to say that the memory that will stay forever in my heart is the charming group of friends that we built during the trip. I started the trip alone, and I came back home with a handful of newfound friendships.
Although our first day started at 3 AM, everyone seemed to be very excited for the trip. Our morning of travels was followed by a visit to the very interesting city of Kiruna, guided by our incredible tour-guide Karolina. The travelers’ hopes were already high that day and, after a relaxing cool bath in the sauna, most of us went out to try and see the northern lights.
During the second and the third day we experienced the dog-sledge tour and the snowmobile tour, two activities that everyone enjoyed so much. During the second day, we also went to Abisko National Park to hunt some auroras. After going to 3 different locations, we managed to watch some small ones. I felt speechless in that moment, while I was laying down on the ice, between trees and mountains, and under the spectacular auroras.
My favorite day of the trip, without any doubts, was the fourth day. We had a free day and my friends and I rented some snowshoes, and we went on a hike through the deep snow of the forest until a smaller lake, where we made a bonfire and cooked some delish food. When we went back to Camp Alta and it got dark, we had the luck to see some of the strongest auroras of the season, the stunning colorful view left all of us with no words.
Finally, on the fifth and last day we returned to Linköping. The activities organized by 90degreesnorth were absolutely amazing, but I also want to highlight the small but very special moments that made the trip unforgettable. This is a shoutout to all the warm bonfires that we made, to all the endless walks that we did around the lake, to the gigantic amounts of pasta salad that we cooked, to the laughter everytime I did something clumsy, and to all of those who went on this amazing trip with me, thank you so much!

Last year, I had the opportunity to travel to Norway with 90degreesnorth, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my year. It was an unforgettable experience filled with newfound friendships, breathtaking views, and memories to last a lifetime.

The 6-day trip was very well planned and executed. Each day was packed with exciting adventures and sightseeing, leaving little room for dull moments. We began our journey by exploring the modern city of Oslo, we also explored some charming small towns like Geilo and Flåm, followed by the beautiful city of Bergen and the beautiful Norwegian fjords, the trip truly covered it all. Despite initially feeling a little sceptical about the long bus rides, the scenic routes throughout the trip made every moment spent in the bus worth it. We passed through some really picturesque locations during the trip.

Beyond the sightseeing, the true highlight of my trip was the simple moments spent in cozy cabins with my fellow student travelers. Bonding over card games, sharing stories from our respective cultures, and cooking meals together, we all created memories that will stay with me forever. It was an opportunity to forge connections with people from around the world and learn from each other, which I truly enjoy.

None of this would have been possible without our incredible guide, Karolina, who ensured that every aspect of our journey was seamless. She was knowledgeable about all the places we visited and was always ready to capture amazing pictures for us.

Overall, my trip to Norway was truly enjoyable, and I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to do it all over again.

Did you know that fjords are carved of massive glaciers⛰️? Over a period of 2.5 million years, the U-shaped valleys were carved out of the ground during a succession of glacial cycles. In other words, the fjords were shaped by the glaciers!!🤯😲

Lapland in winter time was one of the most stunning and amazing places I have ever experienced. Every single second of the trip from 90 Degrees North was special, from learning about Kirunas history to simply enjoying nature while skiing or having a walk through the snowy forests. During the ride on a sleigh pulled by huskies, it was fascinating to see just how well the dogs were trained and loved what they were doing. As a driver of the sleigh you really got the feeling to work together and bond with them. And when these amazing days were over, we spent cozy nights at the bonfire with a bbq, relaxed in the sauna or even got to see one of the most amazing auroras of the season. I would not leave this place again if I could 😍

That is more than I wanted to write and I could still write more :D but I will stop here. Thanks for the amazing trip!
