Last week Nordic Ways were invited to participate on a FAM trip in the beautiful Bodø in the north of Norway. We got to experience and certainly enjoy this amazing city and the surrounding nature as well as learning about arctic culture, lifestyle, rich history as well as the different activities this region has got to offer. Additionally to this we would like to give a big applause to the midnight sun that joined us all 3 days for 24 hours a day giving us enough energy to be inspired.

We also had the big honor and privilege to be part at the opening ceremony of the new and extraordinary Wood Hotel Bodø. This place entails and offers endless opportunities and unique experiences awaits anyone who visits. We can certainly recommend a stay at this magical hotel.

Many thanks to Nordic Hotels & Resorts and Wood Hotel Bodø and specifically Raymond Limstrand Jakobsen, David Khan and Kenneth Stensland for inviting us to take part of this experience.

Today we celebrate Sweden’s National Day as well as the Swedish Flag Day. This is a day that truly fills us with pride and joy!

This special day is celebrated very differently for each Swede. Some say it’s simply a day to relax on (since for most Swedes this is a day off from work) and some get together with loved ones for a picnic or attends events and festivities. Regardless, this is a day we honour this beautiful country.

From Ystad to Haparanda, whether you are at home relaxing in solitude or out on an event, we hope this day is a day full of positivity.

We’re delighted to have had Kate as an integral part of the Nordic Ways family since February of this year. As her internship unfortunately draws to a close, we extend our warmest wishes for her upcoming graduation from TEC (Travel Education Centre) in Stockholm as a Destination Manager Specialist, and we eagerly anticipate her continued success in her career.

Kate herself has expressed how profoundly educational her time with us has been, experiencing the practical side of a leading DMC like Nordic Ways. “It was an invaluable opportunity to expand my insights and knowledge of the inner workings of a DMC and the breadth of the professional field it encompasses,” she shares. Leaving Nordic Ways, she is brimming with curiosity to further her learning journey and explore new opportunities within Nordic Destinations.

This week Nordic Ways was visiting Tallinn, the capital of Estonia and listed as an UNESCO World Heritage. Karen, one of our project managers, had the pleasure of being guided to see the Old Town, one of the best-preserved medieval centres in Europe. Our tour guide dressed as Thomas, a well known character of the country, took us in an amazing discovery journey through Estonia culture and history.
