Have you been to Busowoko Falls🤷🏿 Guess what! This is a beauty located downstream on River Nile some 19km from Jinja City in Bususwa/Bukongo village just after Namavundu forest. Its located off the rugged Kimaka-Budondo-Kibibi road. Busowoko falls is one of the last major falls on the River Nile after several others including the once famous Bujagali falls that was drowned out by Hydro-Electric power dams. This only made it more special. On average you find a big number of mostly young tourism enthusiasts visiting the falls due to its sceneries of wild beautiful waters taking pictures with an occasional dip into the rushing waters. Have you been to Entebbe Wildlife Education Centre(UWEC) populary kwown as the Entebbe zoo!! Well then if not yet here is some brief info. about this amazing tourism place..
UWEC was established in 1994 as a trust to revive the then neglected Entebbe zoo and provide leadership in educating Ugandans about the benefits of conserving the country’s biodiversity. It is located along the shoreline of Lake Victoria in Entebbe with the cool breeze from the harmonious waters.
Today UWEC undertakes several conservation initiatives in Uganda including wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, fully fledged veterinary hospital services and captive breeding of endangered species of wild animals. Going beyond these hands-on roles, UWEC further more contributes to scientific research and is committed to develop education programs for the general public, with particular emphasis on instilling a conversation ethic and enganging young people.
