f you are keen to notice, most ancient african architecture involves circular structures. From the house, “the circular grass thatched house”, to the home stead that involved a series of grass thatched houses carefully placed around the main hut. The palaces, and the palace fences, kraals, and many more.

Maybe this was taken as an inspiration from the circular hills all around Africa and the fact that most of the African communities settled on hilltops or slopes. Maybe circular structures stand for more stability with the terrain in Africa. I move to believe, there is a deeper meaning to it that we really need to embrace.
