The Largest homestead in East Africa, perhaps in Africa and the World at large found in Nakapele-Moru village, Kotido district, Karamoja subregion, North Eastern Uganda!

The region is found within the cattle corridor with its people being the Karimojongs, Pokots and Ik (the smallest ethnic group in the world) whose major economic activity is cattle keeping. Note that the region is the only Semi desert in Uganda!

The region is also home to three conservation areas;

Pian Upe is home to numerous antelopes from the dick dick (smallest) to the Giant Eland (biggest/largest) with the Roan Antelope being the endemic one in the whole of Uganda, amazing two big cats, the cheetahs and leopards including other small cats, bovines, rare bird species like the Fox’s weaver bird that is only and only found on the shores of lake Opeta!
2. Matheniko Bokora Wildlife Reserve, home to antelopes, cats, snakes and birds!

This pic was taken in 2018 at the Source of the Nile, Jinja Uganda, the longest river in the World! Its waters originate from Lake Victoria in Uganda and pours its waters into the Red Sea in Egypt!
It also passes through South Sudan and Sudan and one of its arms pours its waters to Ethiopia!
Along the Nile River are several water walls, many of which have been turned into electricity generation dams, with the Murchison falls dam being the world’s most powerful water fall!
On the other note also, the water from the Nile supplies water to the irrigation schemes in South Sudan, Sudan, Ethiopia and Egypt for Agriculture!

With all that, why not visit its source in Uganda, Jinja city!
