One-way fees
Many rentals do not incur a one-way fee. However, one-way rentals in and out of Uganda comes with an extra cost which to be met directly by the hirer, this depends on your final point where you will be leaving the car .for example someone leaving the car on mountain Ruwenzori the charges will be far different with someone picking the car from Kampala and leaving the car at Jomo Kenyatta international airport or leaving the at Dar es salaam. Surely,the 3months lockdown won't leave us and wildlife the same,we have to take a detour around our national parks again for a number of reasons number 1.would be knowing the conditions of our roads where our potential clients are likely to go through with our vehicles esp in this period where we have experienced abnormal rainfall number 2 is that. A complete advise to make your African safaris an amazing experience
XX if there’s an option to pay half of the safari money in advance and balance upon arrival, that’s the best option ,A mix of pay in advance and balance on arrival/departure. If there’s away to have separate envelopes what I know you will need $US!).

Local currency via an ATM works pretty well in most places (Visa more reliable than Mastercard in general). But always have back up cash in a common currency ($$ works in most places) as one can't rely on credit card machines being available or working. and fuel is one place where cash is needed if the machine isn't working also apart from Total and shell only accept payment by credit cards.
Better to always tip in local currency - hard for staff to exchange in remote places but if you are short of local currency, you can as well tip in USD

95% of banks only give out money in local currency only few of them give out money in $$ US in a some banks/exchanges, ATM's will give local currency (my experience) so should probably bring what you know you will be in of.

If you intend to use an ATM then you will need to review your route and in most cases seek advise from your driver guide who may have an alternative
