The Karamojong

Karamoja, in Northern Uganda is a very beautiful place and home to a special group of people. The Karamojong are proud decedents of herders (mainly cattle) originally from Ethiopia, just like their more famous cousins in neighbouring Kenya, the Maasai. Cattle here has a very special cultural and social importance.
