A few days ago, the safe and secured Embassies of the United States of America and
the High Commission of the United Kingdom in Uganda issued travel advisories
discouraging travel to Uganda on the grounds that Uganda is under some security
threat.

After consultations with our competent security institutions, we wish to
categorically refute this negative travel advisory. Uganda continues to enjoy peace
and tranquility from border to border. Kampala, the capital, is one of the safest
cities in the whole wide world. Tourists visiting Uganda are safe, secure and
enjoying their welcome stay in the Pearl of Africa, a destination voted the best
country to visit in the world in 2012. Our Police which includes the Tourism Police
is available to protect tourists and our globally cherished tourism spots. Our
national game parks, game reserves, heritage and historical sites and all other
attractions are safe to visit. Uganda continues to be the premier pristine tourist

Uganda Tourism Board therefore advises negative foreign travel and security advisors
to desist from wrongly portraying Uganda as under any security and health threats.

Mukono is gifted, it has a lot of historical places that one can enjoy. when you listen to how the sezzibwa falls came about its a great story, when you get to Ham Mukasa's historical home, he was among the 1st Ugandan to drive a car, owned the 1st library, he donated the land where U.C.U is built. You get to learn a lot about Uganda and Buganda. Travel is rewarding.
