Twa (Batwa) tranditional dance
Echuya Batwa, commonly known as pygmies, are a group of people around Echuya Forest Reserve in Kisoro and Kabale Districts of South-Western Uganda. The Echuya is located in the Albertine Rift region recognized as an important eco-region. The Batwa are believed to have migrated from the Ituri Forest of the Democratic Republic of Congo in search of wild animals to hunt, hence the name Kisoro, literally meaning βthe area occupied by wild animalsβ. The Batwa live in small huts mainly made from sticks and grass.

Megabats (Pteropodidae)in uganda.
Megabats constitute the suborder Megachiroptera, and its only family Pteropodidae of the order Chiroptera. They are also called fruit bats or Old World fruit bats. Fruit bats are relatively large and, with some exceptions, do not navigate by echolocation. They are herbivores and rely on their keen senses of sight and smell to locate food. River Nile is known to be the longest river in the world. Its source starts right from Jinja Uganda and Itβs name is a famous Greek word simply meaning valley. It flows from the surrounding areas close to the equator to the outrageous Safari desert and up to the eastern Mediterranean Sea. The river is about 6696km long and pours its water to over nine countries although itβs more centered to Uganda as well as Egypt. Countries include Sudan, Burundi, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zair and Ethiopia.
Enjoy the cruise.
To some it's just lake sand and stones. To us it's crystal clear attention to the tiny pieces that makes the bigger picture. We love nature, we love photography.
