I think there is something grounding about pen and paint brush hitting paper and creating something truly unique. Which is why each piece is hand-drawn with love, from my dining room table. My pieces are inspired by my world, which right now includes little ones, family, and lots of children's books. YOURS TRULY. I'm Amy and I am the hand (left-hand to be exact) behind Down River Creative Co. I a

m the momma of a spunky 3 year-old, Emma Kate, and an almost 1-year-old bear named Jonah. I chose the name, Down River, partly as a shout-out to my hubby, Adam, who was a white water rafting guide when we met in Colorado 7 years ago and is now a small business owner here in Austin. His heart is on the water. We've been married for 4 years and a river is a great picture of our family story. Constant motion, the rush of change, thrilling (read:stressful) risk, moments of peace and an anticipation of what's ahead. After transitioning to life as a full-time mom, I picked back up my pen and brush, only designing artwork and invitations for close friends and family. Drawing is how I feel refreshed. It's what I do when the house is quiet. This shop most importantly is my way of showing Ek and Jonah that taking risk and using their unique gifts and passions is worth it.
