September is our favorite month. We’ve got room on tomorrows four hour across Casco Bay sail 12:00-4:00. This could be our best four hour of the season. Unlike our others this one is in the afternoon instead of the morning. Usually this means more wind and therefore going farther.
We’ve also got other sails including sunset at 5:15-7:15.

Thursday we sail out of Bailey Island, Maine for a 10:30-12:30 day sail
Public trip $50 per person…
Then we are off to Gloucester Schooner Festival for day sail trips on Saturday
And then the parade and race on Sunday.
We will be back to our home port and hosting from bailey island again on Tuesday…
And the kids are back to school!

We had a nice trip out to Halfway Rock Light House and Eagle Island today all in one four hour trip. Next is the sunset sail.

This troop get to go to the big city of Portland last night to see a band called PRIMUS.
We are back to sailing today on our Schooner ALERT.
There was a time when I thought the kids would never get to do this in their life!

For over a decade there has been an osprey nest on this day shape. We’ve watched numerous chicks be raised here. But it was more important to replace the sign with a newer one so the osprey nest had to get knocked down.

Join us Wednesday at 10:00 am at the Orr's Island Library for “Scales and Tales”. The popular Chewonki program returns. In this presentation for children of all ages, we will examine snakeskins, turtle shells, skeletons, and other unique reptilian artifacts and, just maybe, dispel a few fears about reptiles.
