We are a 5 bedroom 3 bath 3200 square ft. home located 10 minutes from Assateague National Seashore. With its pet friendly beach and beautiful wild ponies it is a must see. Our house offers plenty of space for a large family, 3 generation family or multi family experience. We have a large family room plus a den along with a dinning table to seat 10. Your pet will enjoy the freedom of a fully fenced in large backyard as much as you will enjoy the hot tub and water views. We are located in an area with many things to do. 15 minutes from Ocean City, Md. 10 minutes from the trendy small town of Berlin and 5 minutes from Frontier Town Amusement Park and 3 golf courses.

Christmas Eve on the island. The sad announcement of the passing of Yankee came today. His beauty will continue to grace the island with his many offspring. His daughter Susi and her c**t along with his daughter Autumn Glory and her filly Little Acorn are some examples of what he left behind. There was a beautiful sunset to close out the day.

They rent for $315.00 per night with an 11% state and local tax and a $260.00 cleaning fee. There is also a $500.00 fully refundable damage deposit required. Please take note of this if you are taking your dogs to Assateague Island.

Alert:

A recent outbreak of canine distemper virus has been reported in raccoons near the Bayside Campgrounds at Assateague Island National Seashore. One raccoon tested positive, and several others have shown clinical signs and staff are awaiting test results. This virus does not affect humans. However, domestic dogs, as well as other mammalian wildlife species (e.g., foxes, skunks, river otters) can become infected with this highly contagious virus.

If you are camping at Assateague Island National Seashore, please remember the following guidelines:

🔶 Prior to visiting the park, ensure your dogs are current on their vaccines for canine distemper virus, rabies virus, and other infectious diseases that can be transmitted from wildlife.
🔶 Keep your pets on a six-foot leash at all times.
🔶 Dispose of trash in secure trash bins and dumpsters.
🔶 Remove food and water sources for raccoons, including pet bowls. This will help reduce areas where raccoons can congregate and transmit the virus to other animals. Raccoons are generally nocturnal so feed dogs prior to dusk and then remove food bowls.
🔶 Do not attempt to feed, touch or handle wildlife.

If you see wildlife in distress or behaving unusually in the park, notify Assateague Island National Seashore staff or campground hosts. If your pet comes into contact with a potentially infected animal seek assistance from your nearest veterinarian.
