Historical Ocean Tour in Capt. Cook

Your ocean adventure begins like this: Our historical tour starts out in a famous Bay; Capt. Cook. Launching 4 times a day from Napo’opo’o wharf, our adventurous guests will listen to an orated history of the bay and surrounding area.

The Canoe will anchor near the Capt. Cook monument where adventurers can collect the complimentary snorkeling equipment and slip into the pristine, warm water of the bay to enjoy a one of a kind snorkeling experience in a protected fishing reserve. Fish, turtles, dolphins and other sea life thrive in this bay. Those who want to say on the Canoe can also enjoy the view as you will be floating over live tropical reefs with a good view of the ocean floor.

Once out of the water, we will have some refreshments ready for you as we begin our travel out into open water. We are pleased to have our guests sample traditional Hawaiian staple foods such as : Uala (sweet potato), Taro (staple), Ulu (staple) and local fruits that are in season.

The Captain will decide which direction to take from there based on your specific group: either towards the famed City of Refuge or towards Kailua, Kona. There’s so much to see along each route!
