*Lighthouse Room*

Also known as the kids room! This fun room is set up for all the young ones joining you on your trip. With a bunk bed and a triple bunk bed (with a slide!), this room is set up to sleep up to 5 giggling and talkative little ones. When you need some adult time, turn on some kids shows or a movie on the TV and close the door.

*Waterfall Room*

The Waterfall Room has one of the best views in the house, set on the upper level with windows facing Lake Huron. A relaxing shade of green with black out shades make the Waterfall Room ideal for sleeping in!

*Petoskey Room*

Themed for our state stone and because of our own beautiful rocky shoreline, the Petoskey room has soothing gray walls with touches of hexagons. With a view of the front yard this room is such a tranquil place to view the woods and nature that surrounds our Lakehouse.

*Lakeshore Suite*

The primary bedroom suite is designed to reflect our very own Huron Lakeshore. With calming blue walls like the waters of the great lakes, the walls are adorned with photos taken in Northern Michigan. With your own private bathroom, this suite is an escape from your everyday life where you can relax and recharge.

We have a dishwasher!!

Our house is almost ready to rent - if you want to be on our VIP list of being the first to know when it's available for booking - comment below or send us a message!!

: so we have ordered 3 dishwashers for this house. One was flat out cancelled. One is still waiting to ship - and we ordered it in October of 2021 😳 We didn't want to get just any dishwasher, but an opportunity arose for this one and we held our breath that it would actually be delivered. Having been in this house with over a dozen people to cook for, we are all relieved to finally have a dishwasher and not have to wash everything by hand! We hope you love it too 😁

Starlight, starbright! While we didn't see the northern lights this past weekend, the star viewing from the deck was pretty incredible!! When you visit, make sure to bring a tripod for your best night sky photos!

We have had quite a busy spring! We still have plenty of finishing touches and extras that we want to make available for our guests, but we have tested it out with sleeping 11 people (4 teenage girls and a little boy to test the limits! 😅). We have a path to the water, and our kitchen is looking fantastic with the painting and staining finished.

It is all hands on deck!! Getting furniture assembled, cleaning, clearing out boxes. When everything is done we should be able to sleep up to 17 people 😳

There are still lots of things that need to be done, shower doors, paint touch ups, fireplace bevel (you best believe we have a list 😆). But we are loving it and making great progress!! ❤️❤️

Which bed do you want to sleep in your first night here? How about that couch that sleeps 4?!? (Or more if you want to get cozy 😆)

Exciting things happening!! These next few weeks are all about finishing construction odds and ends, and assembling FURNITURE!! We got lucky and managed to snag all the sleeper sofas when they were in stock (which was difficult since they were selling out within a day of being available!). We have beds for all the bedrooms, and matresses on the way. Wish us luck over these next few weeks as we work hard to make this beautiful place a house of vacation dreams!

When you stay at Huron Shores Lakehouse you're only 30 minutes away from the Mackinaw Bridge - winter is the perfect time to visit and see the beautiful blue ice as it builds up on the lakeshore!

Do you plan to visit the ice near the bridge?

Just some updates on the lakehouse! It's looking gorgeous. We are keeping our fingers crossed the cabinets come in in the next couple of weeks (delays delays, there are always delays!), we are waiting on a couple of doors so trim can be finished, but overall things are coming together! Concrete should be poured in the next week or two for our outdoor patio as well, and the grading and pathway to the water is coming along!

A little 360° of the back of the house! Our builders are working diligently, we have drywall up, mudding happening soon, deck is almost finished, flooring is chosen and we are working on choosing paint colors for the interiors!

We have WINDOWS!!! On our initial design meetings the one thing we asked for was large windows like the Hack-Ma-Tack Inn, these are definitely comparable and we LOVE them!!

Today Pat and Chuck visited the house and met with the plumber and HVAC. A big storm had just passed and left a small lake of water behind 😆🌧️
Our builders are still working hard, and shingles are waiting on the top of the roof to be installed later this week. So many exciting milestones are being met!!
We meet with our kitchen and bath designer this week too to finalize our cabinets and a few design details 😁

By the end of the day the first floor was really starting to take shape! How much do you LOVE those gorgeous open areas for windows?!?
