Draft Horse. This video is in slow motion. Hot shoeing.

Hot shoe. Had some messages on Facebook and Instagram, a few people unfamiliar with horses, horse shoeing, & proper hoof care. So there are many reasons to hot shoe. Here is a short video clip in slow motion shows the part of the process. There are many explanation as why we hot shoe. Here is one : “The purpose is to create a smooth interface surface between the hoof and the shoe and to seal the cut horn tubules. Thus making them less likely to dry out in a dry climate or take on moisture and soften in a wet environment. The heat also tends to kill any fungi and bacteria that may cause problems in the hoof.” Our main goal is to help the horse. To give the horse the best possible care when it comes to their feet . Taking care of your horses feet is VERY important. In no way would we ever want to hurt an animal. So please do your research about horses and hoof care before you jump to conclusions. Thank you
