Villa Hiking day - Reef Bay Trail.
This trail is full of history. Along the way you’ll come across sugar factory ruins and be surrounded by tropical forest like nothing you’ve ever seen before on the mainland. Just be sure to save some energy (and water!) for the hike back up!

🐢 The Virgin Islands National Park Sea Turtle Monitoring and Protection Program aims to protect sea turtle nests and spread awareness of sea turtle conservation. There are over 80 volunteers on St John, covering over 40 beaches, patrolling for turtle nests. 🐢

Fun fact- Hawksbill turtles may lay 5 nests in a season and return every 2 weeks to nest. A hawksbill lays around 150 ping pong ball sized eggs PER nest!
