It’s donkey deworming time! Our St. John Wildlife Rehab donkey team drives around the island and deworms the feral heard approx. every six months - as recommended by our local equine vet, Dr. Laura, and Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue, the largest equine rescue in the country. Don’t be worried if you see a donkey with green on the left ankle; they mark them with temporary food coloring so they know the animal has been treated.

Teaching future conservationists about endangered species protection! Thanks to awesome turtle team volunteer, Kiko (aka ‘Turtilla’) for helping to teach Gifft Hill School Pre-K students about turtles today at Hawksnest! 🐢💙

🐢Help us protect our endangered sea turtle population:
- Please do not touch the turtles and keep a distance of at least 6 feet.
- Report any signs of nesting activity.
- Use reef-safe sunscreen.
- Dispose of trash properly particularly single use plastics like bags and straws.

Attention all early bird beach goers and island hoppers! If you need to use Centerline to catch a flight earlier than 3 PM, make sure to arrive in Cruz Bay no later than 7 AM sharp!

Centerline Road will be closed from Cruz Bay to Coral Bay starting at 7:15 AM until 10:30 AM for The St. John 8 Tuff Miles Road Race.

When the seas are calm, there is no sarcasm, and the weather is beautiful,, it is a good time to go snorkeling at North Haulover. It is a rocky entrance, so be sure to take some water shoes, then head to the left towards some of the best snorkeling on island.

From Woohoo! The two nests excavated this week by the turtle team brought the total number of sea turtle hatchlings who have made it to the sea to 2,145! 😀
